i think that hill will take section 3AA and for 2AA i would have to say cretin.. bboth of these teams have very strong fire power and skilled players along with great coaching

I think WBL will win 3aa and will win there quarter final game at the state tourney for the first time. its hard to bet against WBL if David Grunn comes back to play his senior year. i think he has a very good chance of winning Mr. Hockey too.

Richfield

I've been hearing that about Richfield the last two years when they were in Section 6, but they could never make it to the finals. They've been overrated, in my opinion. Now they move to Section 3, and have to face St. Thomas and Lourdes in the sections....no way.

6AA--Jefferson

this time, hopefully 5AA and 6AA will meet again in the quarters and Jefferson can knock out AHA. I want to see Jefferson in the championship. Hopefully against Hill...

This section should be a tight race. I think Duluth East will beat Elk River in the section title game.

How valid is your source on Stewart? He certainly does change the Raiders chances in 2AA because he'd be a 40-50 point guy with expirience to play with the young guys Hastings will have this year.

With that Ben Hause kid between the pipes, Cretin will be so good, not to mention Ryan McDonaugh etc.

hillfan why will jefferson prevail in 6aa? sure they handled ep in the section championship without a huge effort...but they will lose some top players to graduation. ep, with low expectations and no superstars, may surprise all the naysayers. puckhead63...what are your thoughts on 6aa?

NP, even though you didn't ask for my thoughts, I will provide them anyway. I think EP will have a strong team and surprise some, but I still have Jefferson coming out of 6AA. If it matters, they will be playing EP in the final
Elk River AA State Champions- 2001 Boys & 2004 Girls

Holy Angels will easily repeat as section champions and probably state champions. I have heard Dorr from Roseville and Jaskowiak from Benilde will be transfering there and might be getting back some players they lost last year.

Looking at last years varsity roster it appears that AHA should have 10 returning seniors. They lost 5 seniors this year - two from the fourth line.

NP gandy,

You could very well be right about Eden Prairie. I do know it's a big community out there and I'm sure their team will be strong. I just went with Jefferson because they have a decent goaltender in Austin Lee and usually their JV and youth programs always do well.

ER, it has been too long for me! I haven't been around here lately so I think I need to change that. The offseason obviously takes something out of me....

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p074.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... er...sorry. my oversight there. the baby blues will be good next season...no doubt. arguably they peaked at the right time when they beat ep. now, can you do something about that dang traffic delay through elk river when i head north on 169?
