I know it's only scrimmages, but I must say I am impressed by those scores for Brainerd. Looking at that I might believe they are on track to fix the things I've talked about earlier that have held them back from ever being in the 7AA title game.

Sounds like brainerd must have played well. As long as this doesn't go to their heads and they can play well all year I think they have an excellent chance in 7AA.

Can anyone tell me how the games went? If Brainerd was just saved by good goaltending or if they actually played with these teams.

By far the fastest and most polished I've seen this season. Gent I was standing with; went and talked with the DE coaching staff, they are even pleasantly surprised at their performance thus far. Thought the forwards were smallish but very fast and finished pretty well and the defensemen moved the puck extremely well. Really exposed the inexperience of the Warrior D core.

I wouldn't expect anything less from an East squad. Randolph is a genius.

Duluth East was fast and physical and moved the puck well. Brainerd had good goaltending and a solid defense, they lacked size at the forward position tho and had average speed

You say the best team was either Duluth East or Brainerd? Moorhead beat Brainerd I see and tied East. Are you saying both these teams are better than Moorhead? I am just curious as to how Moorhead will be this year.

Moorhead did not scrimmage Roseau. What I was trying to say is that Duluth East and Brainerd were the best teams that Moorhead faced.
They will probably be some bumps and bruises with almost a whole new varsity team this year, but don't expected to take a back seat to anybody in there section or the state. They should be a force at the end of the year and will be tested with games againist Jefferson, Hill Murray, WBL, Centennial, Brainerd, Duluth East, Wayzata, Brainerd, Grand Rapids, Roseau (twice) and the Xcel Tournamnet, should be another great year for Moorhead.

I saw rosea and they did not seem very good. They had some big solid defenseman but lacked any playmakers up front.

I realize scrimmages are not a very good test as to how good a team is and to compare scrimmage scores is nearly worthless, but I do Have to mention for not having any fire power up front and not being very good, the Rams did post 7 against Blaine. Again, I didn't see the scrimmage or I don't know all the details, but I think I saw Moorhead only posted 2 or 3 against Blaine. Should be an exciting year. The Rams start their season Tuesday night against the highly ranked class A Prowlers at the Little Ralph, it should be a good early test for both squads.

Good point Green and White I forgot about that. It's crazy how they can put up 7 against a good blaine team and then in the game i saw they had hardly any chances at all and put in only 2 and one was very weak from what i saw.
