I don't know why everybody is complaining the coaching, because that is not the problem at all. Like jackerpiner said, a lot of Brainerds problems graduated last year, so everybody just needs to move on! This coming year is what people should be raving about. The warriors have as good of chance this year than any year, with sneep, baker, and peltoma leading the team. The junior class has a lot of well contributing players this year, along with the sophs. Everybody in section 7AA will be suprised.

If they can learn to play their best hockey in the second half instead of the first half i tink they have a quality chance of doing some damage in 7AA.

If the Redhead has it figured out by now the second half of the season should go OK as long as his studs don't choke on there silver spoons because they're playing 40 minutes a game. Another concern is if the cheeseburger brothers can stay on the ice for more than a 45 seconds shift to give the silver spoons a breather. Will the super sophs get enough time to show what they got, or will they have to replace the cheeseburger bros due to lack of production. Can the Finlander be the big savior to justify whacking of a senior or two that have been in the program since day 1? This year is THE YEAR the top dog has been waiting for,he made a healhy cut into his future and if it doesn't work out, the Hornets may have a new coaching canidate! Look out Giles.

Who are these cheeseburger brothers you are talking about? And why is it so wrong to have a foreign exchange student on the team who is clearly better than the players who recently quit and were not cut.

If I was a bettin man, I would say Brainerd will have no problem with Alex on Tuesday, I'm predicting at least a win by 3. Maybe more!!

That would be giving you a scouting advantage since you obviously have the link to the Thunderhawk's (I still prefer Indian's) deep throat and the information would be passed on to the powers that be.

I'm not sure anyone is understanding what our coach is doing with the team he has this year. He pretty much cut two seniors who easily should have had playing time on the second lines and both are good kids and have the heart for the game and just want to play. Also he just cut a senior goalie who is every bit as good if not better than the starter this year, just so he could get his junior goalie some ice this year??? The whole building for the next year is a good thing i suppose but not when you have an excellent team with the seniors who have been playing together since ice mites... does he ever want to win or is it just job security for the next year??? In my opinion you keep the seniors who have been working nuts off for them and dont screw them over to sophomores or juniors with jv experience

First of all he did not cut the two seniors who recently quit. He and the other coaches told them privately where they stood on the team right now and said that he is not goin to cut them but if they want to quit he understands. He told another kid the same thing and that kid decided to stay with the team so it was the kids making the decision to leave the team.

Second the goalie situation was rather obvious after this last weekend. The junior goalie outplayed both senior goalies this weekend in moorhead. He played out of his mind against moorhead not letting in any goals and stopping 3 breakaways and then when the goalie who was recently cut went in he faced less shots and let in 2 easy goals that should have been saved and one other one that would have been a very difficult save.

When you say that he wants the junior to get some varsity time for next year you are wrong again. He will be starting the first game of the year tomorrow against Alexandria. He is starting out the year as the starter over a senior goalie who has been a varsity netminder since he was a freshman. This shows that this junior goalie has truly stepped it up over the summer and has deserved the spot he received and that is what forced the coaching staff to cut one of their two senior goalies.

GR19, you are being REALLY nice to the Brainerd fans.....I don't think Brainerd will win over Alex 7-0, but I do think Brainerd will win. With that said, if things remain the same for these two squads as in year's past, Alex may well take Brainerd the second time around this season.
