Being a player I really like the Easton SL P77 curve 100 flex. Its really light and it feels great.

The RBK sticks being used in the USHL are breaking at a clip of about 4 per game.
the_official_hockeyboy@hotmail.com

These new sticks are basically made for professionals-- or for those who dont pay for them directly...the sticks are performance based and not based on durability...

My experince with the first generation of "designer" sticks was that they were durable. My kid would break 1 old fashion wood stick a week at 30$ a pop. I bought him a 130$ stick and it lasted the rest of the season. Maybe just lucky or have things changed?

It was painful to pay that much but long term less expensive. I see that they are now closer to 200$. Ouch.

Easton Stealth Grip. Spendy, but worth it.

The Reebok sticks many WCHA players use are breaking at a rate of about 5 per week per player...same with white mission sticks, which are about 2/day

sorry bout the last post, didnt think i knew my password. Don't by the new Synergy SL (silver/red). I have already broken 2 in less then a dozen practices. I also have 2 teammates who broke theres the first time they used them. I dont know what the deal with them is, but stay away.

i Think the sl is agood light stick but at a cost and has broken alot of the games ive watched ive even seen 2 break on the same shift but if i could suggest anything i would say the St a little heavier then the SL but lasts longer and i just like it better

The White Mission stick is crap. There is a kid on my team that breaks at least one a practice. He switched to a Stealth because of it.

The Si-Core in my opinion is the worst stick on the planet. You cannot feel the puck, I would rather use a mission than a si-core.

I'm a fan of the new super tough synergy, they are very durable and a good weight.

The SL Synergy and Stealth are very good too, but I just don't like how light they are and some players I know say the same thing. But others love how light it is. It is purely personal preference.

I've never used a CCM or RBK stick, but I've heard good things and the players that use them seem to really like it. It is different than a synergy, I think a little more durable and skinnier at the blade.

I've never used a Bauer one-piece but my all time favorite curve was the Lindros even though an Easton Forseberg (Modano) is very similar (little less toe curve and more of a heel to mid curve).

Basically what it comes down to is personal preference. I've seen a kid use Koho wood sticks the whole year and loved them. If you give Sakic and many other great players a piece of wood and duck tap they would still be great. Those guys can play with anything! Just my thoughts.
AHA 2002 & 2005 State Champions!

I really like The new RBK sticks. They give a really good sense of feel for the puck. Yeah they may break more easy..but its worth it...just my opinion

I am really falling in love with the Easton Z Bubble. I don't know if any of you have been introduced to this new phenomenon or not.

I have a synergy stick with a composite Shanahan blade. Best blade for stick handling for myself. My brother got a Crosby blade, that thing is wierd, too much tweak.

easton is coming out with a new aluminum stick that is unflexible and has a straight blade it also weighs fifteen pounds with 90% of the weight being in its blade. no one knows how it works and easton is keeping it top secret.

Personally I am a fan of the Synergy Grip Lidstrom curve, 110 flex. It is a wicked heel but once you get the hang of it you can saucer like nobody's business. I am fan of the 110, but most people aren't. I am a bigger guy and it seems to work for my slapshot. Still using the old synergy, the one before the SL or ST, but I shold be getting an ST anyday now.

The Vectors are still around.

Johnnie, you have probably been told this but Brett Hull used something like a 75 flex, and his shot seemed pretty good to me. It has everything to do with timing, and his timing is/was incredible. But it is your preference (I bet your snapper or wrister isn't so good with that really stiff stick though, just a hunch).
AHA 2002 & 2005 State Champions!
