LaPlanta asked Sarsland about the Elk River/Moorhead history and Sarsland responded that this was not the best Moorhead team he had faced. I don't disagree with him, this is a darn good team Moorhead has, but are they best in the recent past? In my opinion no, but time will tell. I don't think Sarsland was disrespecting Moorhead any, he just answered the question as it was asked. <p></p><i></i>

I got the game recorded. it was said after 2nd period when they interview the coach...the guy interviewing the spuds coach said the spuds coach is a perfectionist. He asked about the history of Moorhead/Elk River, he did not ask if Moorhead was a great team or a good team. Sarslands comment was Moorhead is not a great team, they are a good team. Not a good choice of words, especially the tone of voice he used. I can see why all the controversy. <p></p><i></i>

These teams looked great.. I could not believe how fast that game looked. Was I seeing things? ER looked a lot quicker and maybe less clutch, whack, tie up constantly<br>than past teams. Nice squads. The speed of that<br>game made DE & Lville seem a little slow?<br><br>As far as Sarsland, I think he is a riot. The gum chewing is great. <br> <p></p><i></i>

ER2001, Coach Morinville was paying Elk River a compliment with his comment. Whan you say someone is underrated it means that no one acknowledges that they are a good team. I think the ER coach should take some lessons on "how to have more class when being interviewed at the state tourney." <p></p><i></i>

My thoughts after attending the game...<br><br>Definitely the most entertaining of the day(didn't see Wayzata/Tartan). I would have been disappointed had Moorhead lost because they seemed to be(and the shots tell) the better overall team. Big, fast and skilled.<br><br>Early in the game ER seemed to panic a lot in their defensive zone. Players running into each other, throwing the puck to the Spuds D, etc. They settled down some, but continued to have a tough time holding up against the Spud offense.<br><br>I would be surprised if they lose today and assuming they make it to the championship, I think they will be a great opponent. <p></p><i></i>
