SSP vs Wadena

Post by hockeybb24 »

SSP ain't that good as everyone thinks. The toughest teams they have played all year is Hill-Murray and Rochester John Marshall. Hill-Murray literally outworked them n made them look like there was no 2 morrow. Both times ssp played h-m the scores were 5-2 and 6-1 n the shots were matched up even. SSP also lost 2 cretin which is in a re-building year because there young(a freshamn scored 4 goals in a 6-4 game n no 1 was impressed with stalock's play in net) I expect wadena 2 win at least 3-1 or 4-2.

Both you guys talk pretty tough. How tough is it to slam
people using another name. Kinda like writting on a bathroom wall. You talk about teams being poor and slamming everyone. I bet you guys were the cream of your team! As far as LOW beating Wadena easily, Some of these WDC guys beat LOW 2 times in the same year in Pee Wee's(the only time we were lucky enough to get a game scheduled). I would never slam on LOW or any team. But you too guys must be board. I bet if you too had to post your name... you would talk different about teams. Loser's like to try to bring people down. Support your team.... not your need!

I've done my homework on this one. If you check the Wadena are they good enough thread I laid out Wadena's schedule with ranking of each team they played to counter scheids points on SSP, they play a much tougher schedule. I know WDC absolutely cleaned up on a lot of bottom feeders which the list proves, who did they play, absolutely nobody. Heck, they may come down to the X and surprise some people, but personally I don't think so. It's the first trip to the Excel and the big city for the team they may be more overwhelmed with the situation, than the kids from the cities themselves. I put a wager out for a 2 and out for WDC with puckswerestones, that's all it is a wager. This is an opinion board and it's an opinion, just because you don't like it, don't attack me personally, use some rational. To rake me for it is not right, counter the opinion which I have formulated using facts with facts to back up your statements...<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... smokin.gif ALT=":smokin">

SSP over Wadena

Post by JLS 81 »

rams1981,
I will pick SSP over Wadena in a 5-2 win. That pick taken on the fact that SSP's schedule strength coming into the tournament is far tougher than Wadena. It is hard to find many quality wins in Wadena's schedule(Fergus Falls and Little Falls). Nice to see that they made the trip as it is always nice to watch new teams come in. My pick for Wadena is 1 win and 2 losses that is not bad for a first time trip, good luck.

i didnt mean to hurt your feelings, your rational on wadenas schedule should also mean that for a few days moorhead was the worse team in the state cause they played a team in sections that was rated last or second to last. Sorry for the easy schedule we didnt plan it that way.We thought adding crookston and a couple more games and forgoing the bagley game would help toughten things. It did. and another year of changes will help again. As for wagering on line here about a sport im sure you love as much as i, no chance. But the recipe for crow soup is known and ill eat a bowl should ssp turn out to win. Fair enough?

I think most people from WDC are probably a little unsure about how well their loved team will do. I’m going to say that they will probably come out flat in the first period because of nerves and the fact that they always do, but wdc's incredibly hot goalie will hold them in the running. He has got a lot of experience and probably faced at least 50 or more shots almost every game through his youth levels, WDC's youth usually only has 10 - 15 skaters and they play Alex, Moorehead, Brainard, and many other tops teams. Then in the second and third it is up to those wdc boys to put the numbers up. These teams have never played each other and that will definitely be a good thing for WDC, they fair very well against teams they haven’t played and have never seen. I’m hoping that they surprise people at state, they have a lot of talent that and I hope that they play like they do. WDC over SSP 5 - 2, big upset.

I don't know if it would be an upset, but I have a gut feeling that Wadena will come out on top against SSP.

Final: 4-2

About 18 hours to go....Get ready to show the state what you're made of, Wolverines! Best of luck to you. Your whole section is behind you, 100%.
Scheids
(A legend in his girlfriend's mind.)

wadena vs ssp

I pick wadena to win this game. I think once they get the nerves out of them they will play. Team has a ton of good seniors 3 good solid lines. And lots of varsity playing experience. Wadena 3-1

As a loyal SSPHS alumnus, I would just like to take this opportunity to apologize for the somewhat arrogant comments made by "ssphockfan."

Just a few things to consider about SSPHS, as if anyone did not know.

To the best of my knowledge SSPHS has never been a favorite to win a Minnesota State High School Hockey Tournament championship.

SSPHS has the dubious honor of having lost the most total games in the history of the Minnesota State High School Hockey tournament since records began being compiled in 1945 because SSPHS has made the second most appearances in the state tournament since 1945 with its 28 appearances, and yet SSPHS has never won a state title, while Roseau, with 29 appearances, has won six state championships.

This is perhaps why SSPHS is featured on the cover of the definitive book on the history of Minnesota hockey.

<a href="http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl= ...

Hate to say I told you so. I know I said running time five goals is darn close a lot closer to my spread than the 5 - 2 that most were saying and even closer than a WDC win. And then the second half of the prediction was a 2 and a Bar-B-Que. Right on the money with that one so fella I think you own me at least an apology for your sarcasm as well as that Frosty at TR's on Friday unless you bailed after the boys two and out performance. Use the recipe I gave you when you get home, no fair using any salt either for taste, just use that to rub in the wounds....<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... smokin.gif ALT=":smokin">

Rams says, "I told you so" and I say, WDC still beat 3 teams that the Roseau rams lost to. Just pointing that out. I thought that WDC was holding in there pretty well with SSP, but they just couldn’t put the puck in the net because of many dumb decisions by the players and no corrections from the coach. I couldn’t count how many times the points shot the puck right into 2 or 3 SSP players, or how many times WDC gave the puck up at the blue lines, where everyone knows it is very important to not loose the puck at, except for maybe some hockey moms. Which leads me to this conclusion, hockey moms know more about hockey than the WDC coaches, especially that basketball player.

Warroadsalt...ya your right, but wrong on the big picture.

Rams got beat by three teams that WDC beat not a real big deal in my book...why? I live in Warroad and have been posting about them all season...so you really pay attention to the board.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/eyes.gif ALT=":rolleyes"> The monnicker 's just a handle nothing more, love to see the Rams do well am alumni so there is a connection there, but right now am more interested in the Warriors. I'm assuming your handle is a sarcastic blast at Warroad, too bad they won't schedule a creampuff like the team you pull for. They crushed the team that beat you in the consolation bracket. Had the back-up in and he played very poorly thus the four goals, then again they did score ten on a team WDC couldn't score on. I had my tourney predictions come true; did you...no.....<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... smokin.gif ALT=":smokin">
