To Mitch, Lee, and others

Post by scheids316 »

As the hockey year officially comes to an end, I just wanted to say thanks for another great year of posting, reading, laughing, getting upset, and just general entertainment.

In my opinion, having a forum like this to talk amongst others around the state and nation is a great thing for high school hockey in Minnesota. Getting the perspectives and inside info from all the other "experts" is always fun.

I know we had our differences this year, but I think we've all moved on from that. You guys put more effort into this than I care to know about, and although I'm sure it seems thankless, we appreciate it.

To the "Original Six"...

Well maybe not Original Six, but those of us who have been around for the past several years (Slappy, VScout, Lee, Mitchell, Joe, etc. I know I've forgotten some), thanks for some unbelievable laughs and arguments.

Congrats to Centennial and Breck, your 2004 State Hockey Champions.

Can't wait for next year to roll around.
Scheids
(A legend in his girlfriend's mind.)
Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub33.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUser ... eids316 at: 3/14/04 11:54 pm

I must be an expansion poster hopefully not to be folded.

I also want to thank everyone here for expressing their opinions. I've read this forum for a few years now but only recently decided to post recently. It has been great hearing different perspectives and it has made me rethink some of my positions. Thank you Mitch and Lee.

Sometimes I just say some things to elicit discussion. It has been a great season for both the boys and girls tourneys. Centennial and Breck earned and deserved their titles. Way to go guys! You are the best in the state! Just look at the hard work each of you have invested to get to this point. Enjoy it!

I hope we can keep some of this throughout the off-season. Many of us will suffer from withdrawl. I hope to join you at Tom Reid's next season. I'd enjoy to put a face to your name.

-newkidonblock

Scheids..WELL put...i look back..and i swear..the only "super tuesday" that really mattered to me was the one that kicked off everyones season openers...and now..its state hockey sunday?! driving in downtown st paul this morning was depressing...it was a feeling associated with that of somebody running over my dog. Its no fun to see the hype on this board go down..i mean..you see taht posts from months past are on the front page..whereas in february i cant hit refresh fast enough to see the latest reply, or thread.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D">

Its been good..my ONLY complaint is how strict hotel management has become..they are really takin a big aspect of giong down out by becoming the next Gestapo's. ah well..its still good stuff..

The board has been great..and im lookin forward to next october/november when things start to heat up again!

screw non hockey season

Post by sotaninrussia »

I feel the pain Dons is talking about. Every year since I was a wee lad I hated the Sunday after state. It is always the same feeling driving up I-35 to 73 back to Hibbing. I begin counting the months until next hockey season and thinking I'm not going to make it, hockey is my drug and I will snort it up as long as I can. But when the high school season is done I have to get my fix by watching NCAA and NHL hockey, and the fix isn't the same. I love my Bulldogs and Wild, but give me some Thunderhawks, Raiders, and Bluejackets and I am a happy nerd. Well off to coaching track I go.

Post by Dons »

Yea, i mean..its like all the life is sucked RIGHT out of st paul on that dreaded sunday morning. the mood in the car is horrible..nobody really says much of anything..or looks off to the side..i mean..i could swear this morning everything in st paul was just a dead gray color..where as when i rolled up on wednesday the place was jumpin with color..ppl..and Energy! its almost as though you can measure how teh weekend went by the feeling you get that sunday...

"Only the best of times have the least anticipated endings"

-Dons<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)">

Right on Dons. The most wonderful time of the year is followed by the worst time of the year. What can we do to get out of this funk?

Add me to the list of thankful readers and contributors.
Appreciate the info that you all supply to this forum. Of course we don't agree on every issue, but it is great to have a place to hear all sides of the argument.
Think we all from time to time get fed up with certain posters, but it is fun to see most of them evolve into important contributors.
Keep being positive about the state of high school and youth hockey in your communities. Support all the players and coaches and officials. Tolerate the others.
Have a fun off-season filled with golf and baseball and fishing and developmental hockey, of course.
For me, a Gophers 3-peat would fill the void rather nicely! I'm out. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /tired.gif ALT="|I">

I would also like to thank Mitch, Lee, and whoever else is responsible for the creation/maintaining this board. As an already ezboard addicted person, it was great to have a site still on ezboard to come and talk about HS Hockey. I'm sure it is a lot of work moderating, you put in a lot of time, and usually get barely any thanks if any.

I plan to be back next year, hope everybody can do the same.

Hope everyone has a great offseason.
Puckster

www.wildpuck.com

Joe, I tried telling you before. This is the last time I'll explain it.

That trophy is buried deep in the ground along with Frank Mazocco's original toupee. It'll never be found!
Scheids
(A legend in his girlfriend's mind.)

Well, Im a little slow. It is a good idea to bury it with that artifact from Frank......who would want to dig that up?

A lot of people get the blues right now cause hockey is over but I kind of like the break. When you have kids that play..its long enough. Baseball starts soon.

We went to Grand Slam on Sunday and had to wait 20 minutes to get into the cage. PLAY BALL!
