grand rapids hasn't produced a quality goaltender since jon casey in 19809(oops, i guess greenway produced him). two years ago matti korhonen came from finland and was fun to watch. even in '75 when they won the state tournament bill baker stopped more shots than "chocolate clafton", which leaves, in my opinion, jim jetland as the only goalie that grand rapids has ever produced. come on thawks, time to start teaching the trade up there in gr

What does verb mean Centennial, the best part about Centennial is they have better teams to come. We know what the Elks have...be careful what you wish for.

I wouldn't worry too much Logan, you'll have enough problems nailing down the #1 job in Ely.

New coach for the T-wolves yet? Go ahead and add Park Center to tha list. Rumor has it that next season could be the last season for Park Center. If PC doesn't field a team I was told that all of those kids would have the chance to play for Osseo. Park Center has never really been that great of a team, but they have been around for a long time so I hope that they can find some kids in the future to field a team. They only had 3 goalies this year and one of them was a 7th grader. Good luck Pirates.

Does anyone remember Dan Benzie from Rapids? Must have been 1972-1974. I think he was pretty good. HE is a good doctor.

206 guy,
I don't think Rogers is in need of a goalie. They need everything else. Their goalie is the only reason that Centennial didn't put up 50 and Mahtomedi only beat them 9-0.
Elk River AA State Champions- 2001 Boys & 2004 Girls

Warroad lost there starting goalie, question is can the back up take his place next year. If he does a good job Warroad is basically a lock for another trip to state again.
