One call for Section 8, one call against section 8
In the Class A championship the penalty called against Totiono was a penalty, but i thought for sure they would call coincidentals. They should have given a cross-check to the Totino kid then a rough to a Warroad kid. If you call what they did, you need to also call Interference to spring that breakaway.
In the AA final the call went against section 8. I think it is clear the refs screwed that up. It was not hit over the cross bar. I hear it was a northern ref that called the high stick. That is hockey Section 8 1-1, Section 5 1-1.

Please are you nuts, I agree that after the cross check there was some pushing but nothing close to a stupid cross check in front of the ref, he didnt blow the call, Graces Hoody blew the game by trying to be a tough guy

How bout oshies trip to set up the breakaway, if you are going to call a cross check, call that interference. If bengston would've scored the breakaway there would've been alot of commotion.

but he didnt so its irrelevent, congrats to warroad they won fair and square and totino wasnt even the favorite to win there section and they end up making history taking an undefeated team into 2 overtimes fantastic post season for totino grace

not quite irrevelant seeing how warroad had the power play!!! Bad call on the cross-check ... that stuff had been going on the entire game... but what are you gonna do? <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ohwell.gif ALT=":\"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/grin.gif ALT=" >D"> It is what it is.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)">

Don't get me wrong some of the best championship games are around. As the old saying is out of sight out of mind. When ever we don't talk about refs that is when they do a great job. I wish both these calls would be reversed. Then both would be OT thrillers.

Everyone needs to get over it. Hockey is 90% skill and 10% chance, and that's why it's so exciting. That game could've gone to either team, power play or no. No matter how much everyone talks about that call, the refs and Xcel officials aren't going to call back the fans and players and drop the puck a millisecond pre-call and have that part of the game over. Get over it.
