Warroad vs. Totino

Best Championship ever! And both these teams could beat Holy Angels or Moorhead on any given day. All 4 teams in Championship games on Saturday deserve credit. So give it to them. If you don't it just makes YOU look like the loser. My vote for Best team in the state this year goes to WARROAD. No losses! Only one team, Totino Grace, beat them in a period. When the shots were 11 - 3 after the first period and something like 24 - 10 in the third period, how could anyone not see that Totino Grace is an excellent team. they won 25 games in a ROW! Holy Angels also deserves alot of Credit. They proved the so called experts wrong and got it done. There is alot of Character on that Holy Angels team!

I go to Coon Rapids, i have played with some of those kids in summer and fall teams and my gf goes there.

But i do have to give it to TG i never thought u guys would get as far as you did in the tourney but props to you guys you proved many wrong and showed u can play with the big boys from Warroad. Man their bred to play hockey up there. While i was at the TG vs. Warroad game when they were doing the National Anthem i couled not believe the size difference between the teams but like i said TG played very well for what they were expected to do.

Haven't seen much/any talk about the Grace players smashing the Warriors helmets following the game and also throwing a few Warrior gloves and helmets into the stands, thats a little bush for Catholics isn't it?? The Warriors did their share of stick throwing also.... they threw about 1/2 dozen sticks to the little hockey players in the stands that stayed long enough to watch the presentation.

Ha yeah nuetral that was a little uncalled for but you got a think about it they are a very young team who got no chance to do anything at this tourney as many thought but overcame that and proved themselves and what i saw yes it was wrong but it was emotions, look past that and see what else they did in the tourney.

I don't see why people think TG is so cheap, apparently they weren't looking at Warroad at all.

young?? maybe but still no excuse. Hey Elk River even showed more sportsmanship than that and none of those boys even go to church. their hockey game and game plan they executed was awsome!

how did they not have sportsmanship? I'm pretty sure you guys are just jumping to conclusions like you said TG's coach had no class when he didn't go get his medal but it was really because he was giving it up for his other assistant coaches. And, when people said a TG player threw his stick at Aaron Marvin after the last goal but really he threw it down because he was mad at himself!! People just like to try to find reasons to hate TG.

Neutral - I was right on the ice for the whole game and the celebration after. All the helmets and sticks were on Warroad's side and the Totino boys didn't go near them. Don't throw out rumors and garbage after such a great game. I'm not a Grace fan and went to Public school but the constant Private school bashing on this Board is insane. Both schools showed class and mutual respect for one another after perhaps one of the greatest high school games in along time. The Warroad players, coaches and fans had nothing but respect and good things to say for a tough, hard working and talented Totino team just ask them instead of throwing silly and ridiculous rumors about. Let's talk about hockey

the warroad players that were at the TG end threw their gloves and helmets off on the TG's side and there was one helmet hit with a stick, and I saw one glove go in the stands, and I saw a TG player throw a stick at marvin as he skated away. But its ok, it was a very emotional game, What I didnt like though was the two TG players goofing around and wrestling during warroad medal ceramony, that was kinda crappy, and the TG coach sounded like a cry baby ya ya in the newspaper <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D">

You're just a whiner. The player didnt' throw his stick at Marvin.. we've already gone through this.. he threw it down in frustration with himself! The coach in the paper was stating that the refs were one sided, which was true when it counted, and the two players goofing around (didn't see it) but I'm pretty sure they weren't "goofing around" they were probably crying because that's what they all were doing. Leave them alone!!

In, not starting any rumors I was sitting on the goal line across from the Grace players, I watched the Little Falls assitant coach (who is also a son of the Warroad Coach) head over and collect up as much of the gear as he could. So you are mistaken or ..... Again, Grace as well as warroad played one heck of a hockey game.
