Cory Johnson

Post by P1D2 »

I'm from the cities and have only been able to watch this kid play about 7 -10 games over the last two years. He alone is worth the price of admission. They can talk all they want about the 6' studs that are going to go D1. I love watching the smaller, speedy, skill guys like him, Vermeullen from Cent, Barriball from AHA, Arrigoni, from Hill, Gunderson, from Stillwater, to name a few. These are the guys that make things happen, and make the game exciting. The fact is that these guys play bigger than most of the 6 footers I've watched. It used to be that these were the types of players that D1 wanted, now the vast majority of the attention goes to the big power forwards. It's a rare opportunity for 5' 5" - 5'9" guy to play for a major college. In that respect it's sad to see how hockey has evolved.

Look to see Johnson go to Concordia and play football and hockey. Lately he has been having hamstring trouble and track might only hurt them more.

again that is too bad, cause he's great and concordia is the arm-pit of the MIAC. He'd be taking a step down from his high school team

Just like the other Great Moorhead Players that went there did? Unless he aspires to be a player coach there, Concordia is the Toe Jam of the MIAC. And the only fairly recent success they have had is b/c a few exceptional Moorhead players went there and led and directed that team themselves. And you know EXACTLY who and what I'm talking about SLAPPY!

Concordia Armpit

Don't forget that Concordia has an excellent football program - beat St. Johns this year and went deep into the Div III playoffs. My understand is that he could start right away in the backfield.
