i looked at the schedule for select 17's and i think this is the only or one of the few teams that has a combination of two sections 3AA/2A and then theres the 3A/2AA

anyone know why this was done?

3A/2AA & 3AA/2A

Post by Hockeyisthebest21 » Sun Mar 20, 2005 4:55 pm

Yea it is weird, it has been that way for quite awhile now. I don't really know why it is that way. The only reason i can see is that 2AA has soem southern teams, then 2A is mostly northern teams, but i truly do not know.

I'm not exactly positive on this subject either. I always thought it was to even the sections up a little more. Then again, I could be easily wrong.

I know 2A is mostly northern, but 3AA is just like 2AA(outer metro, metro), so I don't think that would be why.

I understand. Since they are so close, I just thought of it that way.

3A/2AA

It is just the way the numbers line up. 2AA schools are closer to 3A, 3AA are closer to 2A. When South St. Paul was AA they were in 2AA, and now are in 3A. Same with Henry Sibley. I dont know why they dont just call the sections by the other numbers.

Thanks Hillfan. Can you tell me where they'll be when they do post them? Or is it just that those that made it will show up? Do you have any names of those that did make it??
