I remember the Sophomore Jeremy "Ace" Gregoire turtled on his back as Spehar slips the puck into the back of the net in the 95 final. The problem with Moorhead is their goalies are never very good. They need to get a kid from a poor program, that has seen a million shots growing up. The little bleeders Moorhead has given up, cost them championship after championship. I see Roseau and Buffalo as 8AA contenders. <p></p><i></i>

I agree with Neutron...it's hard to compare players from a different decade. The game is much better today than 10 years ago.<br><br>I will say that the '94, '95, and '05 losses were the toughest of the 6 runner-ups. I would say that the Spuds were the favorites in those contests.<br><br>Speaking of '95...it's tough to leave that group out of the debate. All three classes went to three tournaments...all three finishing runner-up twice.<br><br>Perhaps the Spud the carries the most burden of the runner up finishes is Joel Jamison ('95). He was a four year starter on varsity...made it to state each year...finishing 2nd three times!...and 3rd the other time. <p></p><i></i>

The Spuds and Jags were tight in '94. I think the Spuds had the better team that year. Problem was...the Jags were used to beating the Spuds in the big game, and the Spuds were used to losing to the Jages in the big game.<br><br>FYI - Many know the Spuds lost to the Jags in the '92 final and the final of the Met Classic in the '92-'93 season. What may not be as known is that the Jags topped Mhd in the MAHA Bantam final in '90, too. The Jags had the Spuds #! <p></p><i></i>

Last years, or 2004 when they had Gifford, Duetz, and The junior then Brian Lee...Unlucky that they had to play centennial and the goalie, Stutz, was on a tear... <p></p><i></i>

I think last year's Moorhead team was their best.<br><br>Centennial however didn't need much of a tender in the semis or title game. Stutz made only 15 saves against Moorhead none of which were tough. Hittle on the other hand kept it close. <p></p><i></i>
