It will be weird not seeing Elk River in the Coliseum next year, anyone know what 4AA will look like next year?

Chris, Wayzata is moving to 4AA so the section will stay relatively the same in terms of strength.

Lee
____________
Message Board arsonist since 2005

I am kind of bummed that I am a senior, high school hockey will not be the same. I will still go to games, but not every single home game, and alot of away games. Though I am sure I will get super pumped for UMD games <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)"> I will be a freshmen at UMD <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)"> Josh, you will no longer be my enemy, I don't know if I can ever forgive you for stelling the section championchip from East my freshmen year<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/roll.gif ALT=":rollin"> just kidding. But yeah 7AA, it will be nice to have more then 2 good teams in one section for a change.

Yeah well I don't see any of them left, they all went when they lost. But ok my honest opinion on thoose two schools are Rapids is going down the drain, every year they get a little worse, which sucks, most of the norhtern teams are getting worse population is going down and everything <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /frown.gif ALT=":("> . Though Forest Lake, is this the best season they had? They are getting better and they could be good in a couple of years. Look at what happened to greenway as soon as all the Guyers graduated they become single A. It is getting hard for the northern schools to rely on one family now. 7AA has to of the best teams in state East and Cloquet, now they will get alittle more respect with a third good team in it. SO bring on Elk River that is a game I will definatly watch if they play at the DECC.

I wouldn't say Rapids isdead yet.
Their Bantam team hung right there with Duluth and Moorhead.

They will have a harder time doing it every year, but they are a small school.

Once they co-op with Greenway, they will be a little stronger.

Post by greyhound05 » Tue Mar 08, 2005 11:27 pm

Don't get me wrong they are a fine team probally top 25 in the state, but they are not as great as they once were, and I would have to say there is a big difference from 1-6 and 7-25 they are just on a whole nother level. I hope rapids comes out strong this year, the Iron Range needs somone to represent. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">

I don't ever see them co-oping with Greenway. If it did come down to that, it would be one less great rivalry that we have in High School Hockey.

Cloquet

Post by minnhockeyfan » Wed Mar 09, 2005 11:10 am

I think next year it will come down to Cloquet vs Elk River or DE at the DECC....Cloquet is bringing back a Sophomore goaltender that had a stellar year and they are bringing back many young talented hockey players like Steve Mlodozniec, Tyler Johnson, and Riley Roe....Remember Tyler and Riley have been playing at the Varsity level now since there freshmen years and Tyler right now is ranked the #4 sophomore in state...Hard for me not to see them making it to the section finals or even to state in the next 2 years....<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/pimp.gif ALT=":hat">
