Cambridge-Isanti next year

Post by Hockeyfanatic23 » Tue Mar 15, 2005 10:27 pm

Sure this team isn't the most popular, but its fun to hear what everyone thinks. How do you guys think Cambridge will fair next year? Moving conferences and having an easy sceduale I think that it is quit capable for them to win about 15-20 games and coming away with the conference title. I think next year they might even have a good shot at winning their first AA playoff game ever. What do you guys think about them?

I heard that their coach retired. Any truth to this? Does anyone know any coaches that may be looking for jobs?

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p074.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... ey80>State of Hockey80 at: 3/16/05 4:58 pm

I'm almost certain that St. Francis will be staying in the north suburban and I hear that they will not be scedualing Cambridge next year. Its to bad...they are breaking up a big rivalry.

Their coach retired because he is principle of the middle school and they are building a new elementary and middle school and that will take up to much time to be the hockey coach.

I have to say next year looks very good for them. They have a very good first line returning with Akers and number 18 do not no his name and Chumley in the middle they have tons of speed but lack size. They have a great goaltender in Goldsmith and a great goal scoring center in Chumley these two will have to win some games by themselves if they want to take down buffalo or even princeton for the Title next year. Can not wait to watch those two next year.

Princeton will be dirt next year. You can't win with out a goalie and there best goalie is going to be an 8th grader playing eitheir Bantams or JV<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ohwell.gif ALT=":\">

Princetons first line should be really good being lead by osmundson. But after that they will have nothing and as you said they will be lacking in the goaltending department. With an easy sceduale I think they will be just a little below .500.

Ya they will have Ozzy King McRae and Mcelhonne...and Vince Miller at D thats 5 players other than that they have no depth or goaltending.

You are correct, St. Francis is not in the conference. You counted Big Lake-Becker as one school, which they are for hockey, but not for other sports.

Mississippi 8
Elk River AA State Champions- 2001 Boys & 2004 Girls

I think it will be tough for Buffalo to win the conference next year because they play half conference games in the mississippi 8 and half in the lake conference so it should be a toss up.

They have a great opportunity to be a powerhouse in their new conference. They could really become a powerhouse in their little nobody conference.

No it definatly wasn't built for hockey for guys sports its built for football and wrestling.
its to bad for Princeton cause they have 2 or 3 down years comming for all there sports its to bad they have to start the confrence of on such a down note. for guys sports anyways girls sports seem to be in a decade long slump <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ohwell.gif ALT=":\">

I dont think it was built for football HockeyPlaya. The BlueJackets are going to walk all over everyone they could win the conference with thier 10 grade team playing. Should be alright for baseball and wrestling and i have no idea what it looks like for basketball.

Not to go off topic, but Cambridge wont walk all over the conference in football... Don't forget Becker is a powerhouse with tons of state tourny appearances.

But back to hockey... <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">
