I know he won't be back in Ann Arbor for his 3rd year. I would bet he will end up in Sioux City then on to Minnesota

this may be a dumb question, but don't they pay the players in major juniors in canada? If so, he would lose his college eligibility and couldn't play for the gophers. Am I wrong with that thought?

Actually I think you're right. There was a piece on Sidney Crosby and they said since he played major juniors he was ineligible to play college hockey during the lockout. Although, I could be wrong.

You are correct sir

Quote:
All Major Jr. players forfeit their U.S. Div. I eligibility by simply playing in the league. Yes if you play Major Junior in Canada you get paid. All players make a different amount. Sidney Crosby gets 2 dollars from every ticket his team sells at home... and some guys just get their housing and food paid for so it differs. There are certain exceptions for some players though when it comes to losing your eligibility. Some people have played 1 or 2 games in major junior then went on to play college. Only thing is they had to sit out an entire season and then the amount of games they played the next season.

if you play major junior hockey you do get paid but it dose not vary. you sign a standerd contract with the chl, untill you are 20. sidney crosby DOES NOT make 2 dollars from every ticket his team sells. he makes the standerd 35 dollars a week like everybody else does. the live in housing famillies called billets, that is alredy taken care of. hockey88 you really have no idea what you are talking about.
