A rematch from last year's quarterfinal match up in which St Thomas came from behind to win in OT.

St. Thomas will win again this year, and like last year it'll be very close.

Do any Orono fans know if Persian is going to be back for the tourney?

I'm thinking orono wants some revenge from last year if they come out hard i think theyve got this one, but if they dont theyll be in for a long night. Orono has many players returning from last years heart break i think they want to show up STA so I'm going with orono 4-3 in OT.

My thought is someone better beat STA this year, because last time I checked STA returns everyone from their top three lines, 2 from their 4th and return 4 of 6 of their defensemen and Arron Crandall returns in goal.......... they might be back again next year and the next when Anders Lee finally graduates after 5 straight state tourneys.

Hopefully by then, HSwatcher will be forced to retire after having developed carpal tunnel from typing his 23,391 post.

Orono has been hot of late and basically plowed through their section tournament. St. Thomas has been doing good also as of late. I will go with Orono on this one w/ Peterson standing on his head.

Orono 3
STA 2

I think Jordan left and im pretty sure he was on one of the top three lines... but ya pretty much everyone else is back from the team last year.. should be a good game..

STA, overall is more talented than Orono. My pick, 4 to 2 STA over Orono.

I saw Orono beat a good New Prague team (which took Holy Angels to overtime). Orono made a crucial mistake last year to grasp a loss from victory. Not sure how many players are back from last years team, however I'm sure there are enough that remember. I"ll take Orono 5, STA 4. Should be agood one.

STA - 5

Orono - 3

Orono has been playing well lately, but I think that STA is just too much to handle.

Well these two teams met very early in the year and played each other. Im pretty sure STA won the game . but i think that STA is a very powerfull team and i think crandell will sieve it up and take STA to marriuci on thursday.

Hmmm, they did, in fact not play each other earlier. Last time they played was last year at state.

Just like last year, I think this game will go into OT. This time I like:

Orono 2

STA 1

First game, first upset

Wow power, a nice and respectful post from you. Just curious if anyone knows more about the scrimmage? Where was it? Was it run like a game? Did they do other things other than just 5 on 5 hockey?

An STA win is sweet, but if it wasn't run exactly as a game would be and exactly as it would've been had it counted it doesn't mean much.

Try telling that to the kids who played. Every one of them knows who won and what the score was.
