Skrbec, Klienendorst , and Shulte are the best for GR. Youso from the Falls is also pretty good.

Definitely Tom Kuhn of Hastings. This kid is solid at D and can see the ice like no one else. One to watch...

Skrbec, Kleinendorst, & Merritt are all playing varsity for GR. Schulte is a gifted player and his time will come next season. Those four sophs should be the cornerstone of the team when they are seniors.

I know his name has already been tossed around here a couple times but Skrbek (GR) escalated his game so much throughout last year. He looked better and better everytime he took the ice. From section 7AA sophs i would look out for him more than anyone

Alll of these guys played in the Gopher State Tourney. I would say Hart, Kruger and Wilcox were the best out of the 8 goalies in the 2010 tourney.

That pretty much removes defensemen from this conversation, including, IMO, the best sophomore in the state Nate Schmidt. Also takes out Alt, Hyland, Rubellke, little Youso and many other. It's not all about points.

I'm still trying to understand the fascination with Hyland at Woodbury. He's big but doesn't really play that smart and takes some really stupid penalties that can really hurt, as he he did in the tourney.

I really am not saying this to be sarcastic but are you looking at the same player because that does not sound like Walker at all. Perhaps you're looking at #18 Max Gaede, not #10 Walker Hyland. He's not really big (??5'10", 170??) and took 2 (maybe 3, I can't remember) penalties in the state tournament. He's been Woodbury's best and most consistent D-man all year long and has started since day 1.

I have seen Walker play alot of games. Not at the State Tourney! But previous He fits the description given by slapeskhound. But BUT He is a very talented player with a huge future and a great Coach and Mentor. He will deffinately become an Elite player if he applies himself and works hard.
