Q's
AHA over WBL
Hill over Duluth East
Centennial over Minnetonka
Moorhead over Roseville
S's
Hill over AHA
Centennial over Moorhead
'Ship
Hill over Centennial
Don't get me wrong I like Minnetonka but think Centennial's gonna take this one. Also, I like Hill to bounce back from a 3-2 loss that everyone is freaking out about. It's a shame Edina and Roseau couldnt be put in for Roseville and WBL.

Just a heads-up (that's not necessarily related), but it looks like Point Streak is ready to go for the Schwan Cup... might be a nice compliment to have up while watching on MyFOXHockey or CCS.

Only if the teams admin on the site is posting, otherwise it is useless until after the game when they put in the stats...Govs93 wrote:Live scoring updates... supposedly.boblee wrote:What exactly does Point Streak do?Govs93 wrote:Just a heads-up (that's not necessarily related), but it looks like Point Streak is ready to go for the Schwan Cup... might be a nice compliment to have up while watching on MyFOXHockey or CCS.

Individual teams? I thought that they were able to update from the scorer's table in real time. At the X, I would think that wouldn't be a problem.newsguy35 wrote:Only if the teams admin on the site is posting, otherwise it is useless until after the game when they put in the stats...Govs93 wrote:Live scoring updates... supposedly.boblee wrote: What exactly does Point Streak do?

maybe, maybe not
Govs, at the rink where I play there is a laptop docked where the clock is kept. The "gamesheet" and boxscore aren't available until AFTER the game.
Pointstreak may have the ability to do it in real time, but it really isn't geared for that as much as keeping league standings and statistics in one place that anyone can access online.
Some Florida youth games aren't entered in for several days. It sounds like adoption of Pointstreak in Minnesota is slow in places.

It can be close to real time if it's being entered at the scoring table, much like Rinkwriter.
But I think most enter it afterwards in case of errors or corrections.
And some don't use it at all
Eh... whatever. Point Streak - Schmoint Streak.
The real tournament next week is in SSP anyway. You guys can can keep going round-and-round about this little "dog and pony show" at the X if you want.
Meanwhile, I'll be watching the true elite teams in the state doing battle at the fan friendly Wakota Arena. It's not everyday one gets to see a Johnson-Kennedy or NSP-SSP matchup.
Chew on that.
