Where is the high school tournament held? Where do the Wild play? Where is the WCHA Final Five held? Who has hosted the Frozen Four? I'd start naming the names of legendary St. Paul players, but most of you kids wouldn't even know who they were. St. Paul is hockey (especially the eastside).

st paul is a great city for hockey but not a true hockey city. Roseau or warroad or duluth illustrate a true hockey city. HOCKEY is everything in those cities.

I think when somebody starts a thread like this, some people only go back as far as memory serves. St. Paul has to be considered one of the top hockey towns in Minnesota. History tells us that. I didn't think this thread is about what is the most popular sport in a particular city.

I'm wondering why people keep listing Duluth in the mix. I lived in that town for 4 years and hardly ever got a sense that the average joe in that town gave a rats... about hockey. I guess one thing that was nice was the amount of outdoor rinks.

best Hockey town

Roseau. Spotted Edina to 6 goal lead and come back to beat them in 3rd period in Roseau Memorial, January 1981.

State tournament in St. Paul... Move it up North and make the Cities teams travel 8 hours by bus and stay in a motel instead of at home in their own beds and I'll bet the trophy NEVER leaves the Northland.

Well then have more than 2 "quaint" hotels and an arena that can seat over 18,000 and we can talk about fulfilling your dream in a more realistic manner.

EDINA EDINA EDINA 9 STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS THATS TWO MORE THEN ROSEAU . SO HOW CANT YOU CHOOSE EDINA?
the record for most states wins for a team is 7. edina has two teams and one of them has 6 wins and he other has 3. The falls, evelth, roseuo and warroad get my vote.

Then you really need to get a few things checked, I would be a GOD (not that I'm not) according to your standards. Even the metro teams stay in a hotel, not their beds.

Hey, I got him to change it once. We'll just see how far he goes. If I push for St. Paul, will that help?

No.......It is still Edina! I just thought I could appease you. I was wrong regarding appeasement. Just for you, The City of St. Paul.
