ohh what an exciting game this is going to be...pure rivals...as for warroad won't have anyone next year..that's probably right, but i heard a rumor that the parents of the kid from LOW, the goalie, got a job offer at Marvin Windows.....hmmm weird.......but as for the present game....trf is certainly the underdog, i mean why should they have a chance to beat the mighty warroad warrior hockey team? because everyone, there's a little thing called redemption and thief river falls will get theirs on saturday night....

That's a little harsh... Off the top of my head, I can think of Tai Larson and Dane Shaugabay that are more than decent hockey players... Too bad they're juniors... Besides them, there's Nelson, Hebel, Pieper... Warroad doesn't rebuild, they reload...

What is so weird about this? I am pretty sure there is a lot of people from Baudette working at Marvin. When your town is dying and the school enrollment is going in the tank they should be thankful they can earn a good living.

It wasn't long ago the Clark goalie was being toted by TRF!

Warroad will win by 3.

They'll be in the loser bracket. Pretty well done for me, noone cares who ended up 5th-8th at state.

They'll need to recruit to be any good after next season.

......yeah I doubt that...incase you might have forgotten trf is solid in the net with gothberg...plus has thief ever recruited?...i think warroad is the only team that can't just win on there own....take a look at the goalie from last year..from roseau..and the martell twins from trf who skipped their senior season to play for warroad....so can you really call them a "power house" when they don't win on their home talent, but Marvins checkbook?.....

Warroad depends on outside talent, they have to, as the youth program is terrible. Not one team in Warroad youth hockey (on the Boys side) made it out of Districts. NONE. A couple Girls teams did, but both of those teams had imports on them. Warroad doesnt know how to coach or develop players, but they are good at having kids move to Warroad who were properly developed to help out.

no the martells are not twins and yes wyatt smith did move to warroad from TRF. No TRF has never recruited a goalie from LOW. there was a rumor that he wanted to come and play for a team that had a chance at winning, but his parents didn't get job offers at Arctic, or Digi-Key. I didn't know there were any recruits playing for warroad this year though. Are there any?

nope, and this topic was already squashed a couple times...get over it, your teams lost to warroad or will lose to warroad, no need to be bitter.

To clear up, Dr. Clark moved to TRF for professional reasons after the goalie Clark's Sr. year and the year before his Defenseman's son's Senior year. The Defenseman chose to stay in Baudette to finish his hockey hs high school career with his buddies. No recruiting just hoping in TRF, he would have looked good next to Benedict in '07. Warroad will be good next year. Those Junior's mentioned competed well all through out t the years during Pee Wee's and Bantems. There is a 100% chance that they are trying to get LOW's goalie in my opinion. That was their weakness through those traveling years. They will miss Ravendalen but will adjust. They always work hard and believe me do what it takes to win. They will have plenty of competition from TRF next year only two seniors on the team and the youngsters getting a year better. I think Bemidji will be OK not great. If anyone will be down it will be EGF.

Inside job! Wanted to play for his Uncle. Did not hurt when he could get situated comfortably next to Aaron Bendickson. Good for his career.

Warroad is a one horse wonder this year, that could hurt them if he doesn't play that well tonight.

Very true AND even IF they do get out of the sections, one above average puck hog team wont do much at State.

hmm, kind of looks like people other than warroad supporters talking about recruiting. So how come when Holen moves to TRF as a sophmore to be with his family it in no way was recruiting, but when Oshie moved back to his family it was of course, recruiting...move on folks.
