As much as I'd like to give the Packers the nod here, they don't do well at Aldrich.

I'm taking Hill by 5

The Packers haven't beat the Pioneers since they entered the CSC. Maybe they are due, and now would be the time for them to cash in.

Packers will win in a close one...4-3

It'll be a close contest. Hill should be past the regrouping stage by this point (or at least very close to it). I see the Pioneers squeaking one out.

cjmhockey19, how so? They lost the first time, so if they won AND St Thomas lost their follow up match with Hill, they'd each be 1-1 against Hill. If BOTH of those things happen, SSP would need to win the following matchup with St Thomas.

A win locks up the #2 spot, but in 4A all that does is change which side of the ice your team sits on and what color jersey you wear.

for a person who really likes to bash white bear kids on their "intelligence level", your spelling seems to be a little bit off....

Coming from the past, I would say that losing 4-2 is a victory for them, having close to a 30 goal deficit at Aldrich in the last 3 years.

Good job to both teams.

Nailed it, and I'm glad the H-M squad put together a nice win. Hopefully they can build on this for the rest of conference play and into sections!

I'm not sure if Hill played really well or if SSP played poorly, but their was a noticable difference in play. When you look at the current make-up of Hill's team you can't help but wonder just how good this team will be in the next two years. Hill is is getting significant contributions from several 10th graders & these kids will only get bigger/stronger/better down the road. The team seems to have settled in nicely their D do a solid job of moving the puck & limiting chances on the other end. A solid month of preparation with quality coaching & this teams should be ready to defend their section title.

Well thats something you don't hear every season...that would have been reversed two years ago.

I just expected a more competitive game given the score of their first matchup. Don't let the score fool ya, this one wasn't that close. Wilcox will need to steal a game for SSP to get to state. It could happen, but the rest of the team spent too much time chasing Hill's guys who had the puck. I wasn't expecting to see that.
