Re: Wow
I got to admit, I was thinking the same thing when reading this topic and its replies. He's lucky he doesn't (didn't ) play for Hill.Scoutbanana wrote:Kind of interesting people are putting Tyler Pitlick in the run for Mr. Hockey when he violated team and league hockey rules. What kind of picture is this for kids that are not playing hockey because of violations -he gets rewarded for it - interesting and very political.

Re: Wow
Those that vote tend to be associated with older players and not as concerned with those things. They are (not all voters) looking at qualities that will make for good college/NHL players.BodyShots wrote:I got to admit, I was thinking the same thing when reading this topic and its replies. None. Deserving or undeserving, for that matter.Slap Shot wrote:I'm not saying Lee should or should not win, but why does where Lee plays matter? You can weed out these kids. Not in the same league as the others on the list.

thank you
Exactly. The notion that Edina players get preferential treatment when it is time for Mr. Hockey has no merit whatsoever.Slap Shot wrote:I'm not saying Lee should or should not win, but why does where Lee plays matter? How many undeserving Edina players have won the award?
Be kind. Rewind.
I like Izaak Berglund - Little Falls, at this point probably will be the highest possible NHL draft pick in Mn. Certainly a deserving candidate. I understand the NHL scouts are involved in this process, but to what degree I dont know. Good luck to all......HardF1 wrote:Lucia4President wrote:Ben Hanowski - Little Falls

Leddy
Hanowski
Tardy
Lee
Everson
Mattson
Pitlick
Palmquist
Delisle
Jamnick- maybe
Shooter 57 Bergland is having a nice year, I'm not sure you meant that he is the potentially highest MN NHL draft pick this year but if you did you better go check again. There are about 20 players listed way ahead of Bergland. Leddy WILL be the first MN player drafted this year with good reason.

If they gave it to Budish, I'd be thrilled but would never hear the end of it because he hasn't played a game this year.scoreboard33 wrote:the new one, Leddy might not be first, some team might risk it with Budish or go with Mattson(possible, but unlikely).
Mattson nor Hanowski will not win it because they are going to the wrong schools (this is traditionally a Gopher recruit award)
Leddy is your guy. He is deserving and is going to be a Gopher.

Did you see Anders Lee featured like 5 times for football, and more than that for hockey? The Trib really likes that kid. Im just going to re-iterate. He who gets the most press come voting, gets the gold. Mock my words.
unless your from boston, and spell words the way they sound

What's it like to be an idiot
IF Berglund is the highest NHL draft pick to come from a Minnesota HS, that will be the day I stop posting.
