bluedevils... who ever you are.. quit talkin up virginia. They are good but it all depends on how they are going to play during sections and if all 3 or 4 lines contribute to the team... We'll just have to wait and see and hope virginia comes out top

Virginia has the advantge period. They are a solid team and are playing on their own ice. Hibbing has no defense. Their two best defensemen Peratello and Decenzo have to play as forwards if Hibbing is going to score any goals. If those two are not playing defense whomever they put in nets is going to have a long night.

Tromp played really good against c-e-c last night and i expect him to do the same saturday. hibbings defense has improved this year. they have one senior defensemen, four sophmores and one freshmen on the blue line. certainly not oldest group of kids. and im pretty sure ryan johnson knows how to score goals

Looking at stats on PHN there are 6 players who have more goals then Peratalo so to say he has to play foward for Hibbing to score is ridiculous. He's a better at foward than defense and thats why he's playing there.

And on the defense. They've improved and you can tell the difference from early in the year till now. Granted they have had their struggles but at times looked very good. They will be the key for Hibbing. The Jackets can score and their proving that by getting goals from 3 lines so it will come down to defense and goaltending. Which both have had very positive outputs the past 3 games for Hibbing.

I honestly think this game can go either way. Virginia has a better record, but hibbing might have a few tricks of their own. Should be a close game.

as much as you think the jamboree score has any indication it really doesnt. virginia beat rapids in the jamboree in 07 and 08 and lost to them in the regular season and than lost to rapids in the jamboree in 09 and beat them 4-0. so id use something other than that blue devil. but good strategy

With Virginia having changed there lines around I see them starting to jell.
Case in point, 7-2 win over Procter. But Hibbing isn't Procter!
The game is going to come down to who can score on the power play.
I hate to say this but the refs are going to effect the outcome of this game.
Still, I see Virginia winning 4-2.

Your right a LOT had changed since then. The one thing the jamboree did show is that this will be a rough game. There were HUGE hits and, I'm sure that will continue into this game.

I'm taking the over for sure!!!

And on mentors comment, Hibbing has changed lines too and their playing really well. But your right about the refs and the powerplay.
