Another loss at home, what a horrible effort between the pipes. Like I said before, Jefferson's goaltending will determine how far they go. They outshot Burnsville 2:1 in the shot totals, yet weren't even in the game. Very disappointing.

Goaltending is very important comes playoff time. The last team standing in the end will have a goalie who had a stellar post season.

The penalties don't help, either. Herbert is a man amongst boys out there.

Jefferson blew today. National anthem was nice though.

Wow..Jefferson's goaltending has been horrific lately. Vs. LVN Jags allowed 4 goals on 14 shots, and today against Burnsville allowed 3 on 17. What may be a bigger concern for them is their inability to score more goals with the amount of shots they put up. They put up 29 to Bville's 17 (per hockeyhub), but only managed to get one goal when the game already seemed over. But Burnsville's goalie looked unreal in this game. The only thing that impressed me with Burnsville was goaltending, but sometimes (as shown in this game) that's all a team really needs.

Key word is team! Burnsville plays like a team and is having success. There goalie is playing great but the most impressive thing about this group compared to previous Burnsville clubs is that they have three lines all contributing and they look like they just love playing the game. Their lead scorers like to share the puck and their defense has been effective at moving the puck up ice...solid team hockey. We'll see if they can keep it going but they are playing great and appear to have all the ingredients to make it an exciting sectional!

Agreed, 2AA, along with 6AA, should be really exciting section tournaments. We'll see what teams can bring it together and play as a complete team, because the team that plays best as a group will win their section. Jefferson has shown that individual talent can't do it all, so let's hope that for their sake and the sake of having a good section tournament that they bring the team together.

dont think we should all be worried about jefferson. yes they have struggled at times but playoff hockey is different. look at the nhl do you think those guys really give %110 every game in the regular season. Im not saying this is the case with these jefferson kids and high school hockey but who really cares what happens during the regular season. look at the last couple years with teams that have looked like locks to win it all. whoops they go down and no one remembers them. lets just wait and leave the rippings alone for another couple weeks and see how everything pans out ok
