Would be nice to see a game without the Trap on east as well.. Last 2 games have been traps and really tied down the explosive 1st line of east

If I was a nervous wreck yesterday afternoon, what am I going to be tonight?

I watched the East-Edina game back in December; the Hounds played quite well and controlled play for the majority of the 2nd and 3rd periods. They got off to a slow start, which hurt them, and a couple of turnovers in their own zone led to several Edina goals--just about all of them were scored on breakaways.

So to pull this one out, the Hounds have to mind their own zone and be careful to avoid odd-man rushes. Penalties will also be huge--that can be Edina's Achilles Heel, and if the Hounds stay out of the box they can give themselves a big edge. Edina is going to be physical, so East will have to roll its lines and try to avoid getting worn down.

No prediction here...all I know is that it's going to be quite the night at the X.

I'm so unbelievably conflicted on this one. One one hand, I hate Edina. I certainly have nothing against DE and it would be cool to have a North v. Metro championship game. On the other hand, an EP Edina championship would be legend...wait for it...I hope you're not lactose intolerant because the next part is dairy. Legendary. Idk It all comes down to JoJo and I wouldn't want to face him while he's hot in the finals either. Whatever, we'll just see what happens.
EP two out of three.

Relax, Karl. They made it and won their first game. The rest is icing on the cake. If they were senior dominated, I'd probably feel differently...

The quarterfinal and championship games make me crazy. Semifinals? For whatever reason, these are different. Well, except for that little five overtime game 15 years ago, of course. :)

Good to see Duluth East get the forecheck going late in the first period and carried it over into the second.

Senior girl with liver cancer. She just went out to Reno for treatment. Class act by the fans to show her support.

Hounds hitting their stride. Third period is going to be a good one!

DE started slow but got their forecheck going late in the first. Since then, they have been the better team. Hopefully that will show up on the scoreboard!
