Class A Championship #1 St Thomas-#2 Hermantown
Moderators: Mitch Hawker, east hockey, karl(east)
STA - Hermantown
Wow what a game. This one has it all. Both teams have great skill and are playing their hearts out. North vs. South. Public vs. Private. Emotional coaches. Great fans and students. STA kids in dress uniforms. Hermantown kids in jerseys and school colors. Beautiful goals. Tons of scoring chances. Goalies standing tall. 4-4 in the 3rd.

And there is was!!!MNHockey75 wrote:These refs are notorious for their make-up calls. The trainer should give the saint thomas coach some bayer aspirin cause he looks like he is going to have a heard attack over these calls.
Red ice sells hockey tickets.

I love it too. The last thing you want in a close championship game is for the refs to be overly present in the 3rd/overtime periods. It was a quick whistle down by the STA goalie too but most refs would have blown it dead like that too I'm pretty sure.Hockeydad1893 wrote:Very quick whistle there. I love how the refs have put their whistles away though when it comes to penalties.

Re: STA - Hermantown
Congrats to STA. That was an absolute treat to watch. I wish we didn't have 2 classes but STA, Hermantown, Hibbing and TRF were great fun to watch the past 2 days.stpaul wrote:Wow what a game.
