STA - Hermantown

Post by stpaul » Sat Mar 12, 2011 2:17 pm

Wow what a game. This one has it all. Both teams have great skill and are playing their hearts out. North vs. South. Public vs. Private. Emotional coaches. Great fans and students. STA kids in dress uniforms. Hermantown kids in jerseys and school colors. Beautiful goals. Tons of scoring chances. Goalies standing tall. 4-4 in the 3rd.

The trainer should give the saint thomas coach some bayer aspirin cause he looks like he is going to have a heard attack over these calls.
These refs are notorious for their make-up calls. They will return the favor.
And there is was!!!

Very quick whistle there. I love how the refs have put their whistles away though when it comes to penalties.

I love it too. The last thing you want in a close championship game is for the refs to be overly present in the 3rd/overtime periods. It was a quick whistle down by the STA goalie too but most refs would have blown it dead like that too I'm pretty sure.

Was thinking the same thing. Lyon would have been a good addition
We in Warroad already called dibs if he ever wanted to leave Baudette :)

Blah. Congrats to STA. Hermantown the bridesmaids for the 2nd year in a row.

I hope tonight's game is as exciting, though that wouldn't be very good for my health.

Absolute classic and total barnburner. Hats off to Hermantown on an incredibly well played game.

Congrats to STA. That was an absolute treat to watch. I wish we didn't have 2 classes but STA, Hermantown, Hibbing and TRF were great fun to watch the past 2 days.

Did I hear right, during the second intermission that Holy Family Catholic is opting up next year?
