Congrats Clint, but seriously, if there aren't 8 other d-men in the United States that are better than Clint, god help USA Hockey. They must have loved big d-men out there.

Unless he's improved exponentially he'll get lit up in the ushl. Big potential but a project.

No one said USHL. Mentioned that he'll join Hudson Fasching at the 17U (95s) NTDP in the fall. Second invite, and acceptance, for a Minnesota player.

I did notice a 95 with MN connections in the USHL. Ian McCoshen, from Hudson Wisconsin, and a former metro AAA player, played the entire season with Waterloo. Not many 95s in the USHL this season.

Clint reminds me of the movie The Blind Side when the coaches see Michael Orr's demo tape and say "I got to have that guy!" That was his impression when other coaches from Shattuck first met him. He's big and coachable. He'll do just fine. He has values and comes from a good family and that does say a lot about his character which is why I hope he proves all you nay-sayers wrong. I'm proud of him and I'm glad my son has had the opportunity to play with and against him over the years. [/quote]

I wish nothing but the best for the young man. If his game has developed that quickly he and his family should be very proud. I have not seen him play in over 8 months, at that time I didn't feel he was ready to compete at that level.

We should be happy for any of these kids. They'll be ambassadors of MN Hockey. All the best to them.

He has 126 points from this year alone! How does one program (NDTP) develope a kid like this; doesn't sound like he needs it. Shattuck is lucky to have a kid like this in their program.
