This on the Pioneer Press website just this afternoon:

A Woodbury teenager remains in critical condition from injuries sustained in a traffic accident Monday in Afton.
Braedon Hyland, 17, a student and hockey player at East Ridge High School, remains at Regions Hospital this morning, hospital officials said after there were conflicting reports about his condition earlier.
The Washington County sheriff's office said that Hyland was a passenger in a car driven by another 17-year-old, who was also taken to Regions with injuries.
Officials said the car was westbound on 15th St. South at about 7:30 p.m. Monday. The car apparently ran a stop sign at Neal Avenue, and hit a northbound car.
That car was driven by Benjamin Lower of Lakeland. Neither Lower nor the three children in the car were seriously injured.

And all I'm saying is: The Pioneer Press isn't worth the paper it's printed on. What a rag.
In addition to his family, I also feel terrible for the ER football team. Imagine taking the field after losing a teammate the night before.
I think the driver, Blake Sowle, also plays for the hockey team, and he's still in pretty rough shape based on what's being reported.

Thanks, Cooper, for pointing out the obvious to whiteblhockey:
the Pioneer Press blew it. The Star Tribune got it right the first time ...
