Will probably be closer than last year's game for New Ulm, but still, TRF should win comfortably.

Post by blueblood » Sun Mar 04, 2012 5:59 pm

Prowlers will continue the dominance over the 3A champ.

TRF - 7
NU (aka Brody Pederson) - 2

Thief will put an old school a--woopin On the boys from the south. Luverne may have been stiffer competition since New Ulm hasn't showed up in years past at state.
Can't wait to watch N U get throttled by north countrys Prowlers.

I feel NU is gonna get a goose egg in this one after watching their semis/finals in section play. 7-0

Peterson won't do a thing. Very inflated stats thanks to a weak schedule. 10 is the best player for NU

Come on guys. Give New Ulm a break. They're not a hockey powerhouse and they know that. But stuff like going to the state tournament will maybe build up to that. I just wish 3A wouldnt have such a bad rep. They dont have numbers and get whatever is there. Most of these kids are atheletes of the season there in and thats it. Im not trying to have a pity party here. Just trying to give New Ulm a little credit. They cant help what section they're in either. The bad thing is, there the best team to come out of the section. What are they supposed to do, just lose the section on purpose and give up a childhood dream that every kid has thats grows up playing hockey here? No! I get that there are plenty of better teams out there that didnt make it. But just look at where you are located and the numbers you have, and maybe a very good hockey tadition. Traditions dont get built up overnight. Little things like going to a state tourny build tradition.

Once again, not trying to get pity! Just trying to get people that arent from 3A to look at it like we do.

Not much of a game here. I would like to see New Ulm play a good game and keep it close but TRF is going to be tough to hang with. As long as Thief doesn't start focusing on the Semi Finals before taking care of New Ulm, they should advance.

Prediction
TRF 6 NU 1

Thief River Falls : 6
New Ulm : 1

Kinda hope it's closer, don't think it will be.

TRF 7-1
I hope it's closer, but just don't think New Ulm is quite good enough.

Nobody thought the U.S. was going to beat the USSR in 1980 but it happened. Thats why they play the game.

Hilarious. Setterholm already making excuses. Concussions and flu, yeah, no other team deals with them.
Always has to rip the opponent somehow, someway.

Our first use of video replay in a while, and they overturn the call and get it right. Nice job by the replay crew.
