Stillwater - 1
FINAL
Was Housley behind the bench or was he with the World Jr's Team?
No Housley
Thought stillwater golie made some big saves when needed. stillwater D ate up several good chances as well. thought stillwater played team hockey, moved puck well. (skippers seemed to rely on indiv play)
Stillwater looks like they are the real deal.
or skipers very overated?
dont have much to compare this game to.
Any opinions out there?
The ponies have been VERY inconsistent. Good games against Woodbury, Roseville and Tonka. Bad games against FL, CG and Hastings.
Their D are definately solid (Cass and Reinke in particuar). Reinke was very good last night and the entire group played very good against Tonka. The forwards also had a lot of energy vs. Tonka. This team seems reminiscent of pony teams in the past that have struggled scoring. If they put 3 on the board they are pretty hard to beat. Will see in the next 2 games if Stillwater is for real or not. Wayzata and Andover...two more tough tests. If those are good games it will be a good indication that this team is getting better and is getting a more consistent effort. If not...then this group may be just a one trick pony so to speak.
