Tonka vs. Moorhead

Post by blueblood » Sat Dec 22, 2012 12:46 pm

Both teams coming off recent shut losses:

Tonka (0-1) to Stillwater on Thursday
Moorhead (0-3) to Blaine last night

My prediction:

Tonka - 5
Moorhead - 1

Moose with 2 goals...

Think the Taters will be lucky if that's all it is -

Final

Moorhead 3
Minnetonka 3

Taters were outshot 40-22. Sounds like Cullen should keep Dittmer in the net.

Spuds goalie played well last night after giving up a weak second goal to Tonka in the first.

Third Tonka goal was a fortunate bounce off a spud defender right to Thie. Nothing Dittmer could have done on that one.

On another note, the Dittmer really got to the Tonka faithful with his crease cleaning routine.

He would stack snow on the goal line and then try to freeze it with his water bottle. He built up quite a "snow wall" on the goal line in the third before the ref cleaned the crease area.

I thought it was brilliant!

That's funny ! The kid's not another Bitzer, but looks pretty good for a 10th grader.
