I guess i'll answere my own question first. The rink i love to play in for games is not at home but against EP at EP the rink is olympic size, tons of fans, girls, the pressure to play good in front of tons of people is sometimes very nervous but i live for every second of it.....

well of course when I played at the X at state, but thats a gimme answer. But other than that either the Snakepit in greenway or the Hibbing memorial arena. I think alot of the cities rinks are alike. A lot are just those pole buildings with stands on one side. I hate those

After Warroad wins Class A and Roseau wins AA. Maybe they can put the trophies on the line at the Salol rink?

I don't think I can argue against that.

Rinks again

Post by Zamman » Mon Nov 27, 2006 9:42 pm

This topic has been talked about before.
A far as rinks when I was in High School, I would have to say Martin Luther King Park Rink in South Mpls was the funnest. But if we are talking about arena, then Richfield.

Delano is the complete opposite, it's always about 15 degrees, sometimes colder. The arena sucks, but it gives you an old school feel which is nice

The Old Memorial in Warroad was not remotely close to the Olympic Arena. For comparisons sake it was more like the Roseau memorial than anything. It maybe had fencing for glass back in the 50's, but it had plexiglass for as long as i was around anyway.

The ice in that rink was awesome, no ice plant, all natural, very hard and quick. Talk about an atmosphere, that was a great place to play...

There have been plenty of forums about this. STA rink is really nice. Aldrich is really good too.

Old news...that was suggested by the Renegade last spring for next seasons teams. If the HS league wasn't going to bless it, it was suggested that the local merchants pony up for the jerseys and the proceeds of the game goes to charity.

Mid 1980's in the Warrod Barn.... chicken wire on the side boards and seating only in the one end..... and it was all the way to the top... Natural Ice.... and cold as hell.... If another hockey movie was made, it should be the arena of choice!
