Brainerd @ St Thomas

Post by HShockeywatcher » Wed Dec 27, 2006 8:28 pm

Brainerd gave Blaine their 2nd 1 goal loss of the Silver Cup. Do they have what it takes to beat the only Class A team in the Silver Cup?

Im feeling a good game from Snider, but I have not seen STA play or heard much about them besides that they are pretty damn good. Watch for a good defensive game by Brainerd and hope that their forwards can score a couple to take home the consolation.

1)Quit feeling Snider.
2)Maybe you shoulda watched TV last March.
3)Defense will be watched for.

I'll take the Pagans by 2.

Hope they didn't celebrate at Mac & Dons Steakhouse.

STA has big toys that can make alot of noise and are trained to use them
:o
Brainerd needs to take away their toys and turn them against them  .....

.... If not, we all have been taught about what happened to the natives during Westward Expansion :(

Morris Wanchuk, i will apologize for Hova's inexperience as a hockey fan :D Knowing him, i dont think he even watched hockey until the 12/2 game against Elk River!

Tough game for Brainerd, playing the two defending state champs in a span of three days is never fun....Brainerd will play of to their competition......Brainerd 4 STA 1 (Watch for Freeman to net two)

PS if you were to see Snider, you would be feeling him as well

4-1 is a pretty bold prediction. I guess we'll just see what happens tonight.

Still Gonna Doubt Brainerd????

Post by The Boogeyman » Thu Dec 28, 2006 8:45 pm

This tournament really showed how brainerd can play. its a pretty good week to beat blaine and STA. and only losing by 3 to CDH. the loss to fergus was a fluke. should be very interesting to see what happens tuesday at CEC. they should keep it rolling

I wouldn't call losing two games by 1 a horrible deal. Not to say they are an over the top amazing team, but even though Cretin definitely outplayed St Thomas, that game was definitely an off game for them. Aside from that, two losses to good AA opponents by 1. Not something to cry about.

How was the game? Anyone with a box score?

How does Brainerd go from losing to Fergus Falls to beating STA?

While that is interesting, doesn't help at all. Can you elaborate on that and the rest of the game? It's not played on paper, but on paper St Thomas probably should've won, so I'm curious.

Good question. The only way to explain it would be to say that the Fergus game was a fluke. It was just an off night for the Brainerd team. Its great to see them rebound with this big win, especially when you get to watch it first-hand :D.

I hope they saluted!! Image Since the fans were mostly parents and Jv players (who beat some catholics).

Well it looks like another nice tournament from one of only 3 non-metro teams to play in the thingie. Looks like geographical illiteracy is sinking eh Mr BOBLEE?

Told you boys that the 'Barnyard' club can play some puck....better start believing that club is a factor in 7AA.

Da Barnyard boyz haz to be playin some good hickey to beet da Catlickers.

But even the Catholics cant win all the trophies. If we did that , theyd probably make us play in our own tournament.

The Shady Bunch should have come down for the games instead of watching it on TV inside the icehouses.

I suppose if I want to see any of you boys I will have to wait. Wait until Lent.
