The last three years in a row now the result of this game has been a difference of 2 goals or less. This might be the closest match up these two teams have had in many years, should be a great one.

Denfeld has closed the gap, and I think they will be more emotionally charged for this one. Denfeld comes out firing and holds on for an upset.

are you people high? what part of building a 12-2 record playing this schedule:
W 10- 0 Ashland WI
L 3- 6 Hermantown
W 6- 0 Chisago Lakes
W 4- 3 Shakopee
W 6- 5 Virginia/Mountain Iron-Buhl
W 2- 1 Mound-Westonka
W 6- 1 Delano/Rockford
L 1- 4 Cloquet/Esko/Carlton
W 9- 6 en St. Cloud Cathedral
Ken Austin Tournament
W 8- 5 Owatonna
W 5- 3 en Alexandria
W 7- 4 Park-Cottage Grove
W 6-0 Proctor
W 7-0 Princeton

makes you think that Denfeld has closed any meaningful gap? Will they get up for playing East? Probably. But seriously, seriously now, does dominating the likes of Proctor and Delano really allow for any kind of objective analysis of this game? Bless them, I hope the Hunters win, but realistically,
East 6

agree with majin....denfeld's schedule pales in comparison as to who
the hounds have played; however this is a game they consider to be
one of the toughest teams they face. With their "transfers" of Kolquist,
and Davis they will give East a better game... Hope East doesn't look
past Hunters to Thursday's game against Rapids....or an upset could
happen. East 5 Hunters 2

Emotion is bigger than results. Ask the Gophers when they play the Bulldogs.

Majin you have to realize this is a big rivalry, Denfeld really wants to beat East, trust me. Three years ago Denfeld came into this game with the same kind of schedule only they had a losing record. Denfeld was up 3-0 going into the third before everyone cracked and East won 4-3. I'll never forget the news cast that night, the sports guy goes "DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLES?" Just before going, "nope, not tonight." haha..

My point is that anything can happen in this game, I can promise you it will not be a blow out. If Denfeld lost to Cloquet just 4-1 there is NO WAY East will win by more than 2 goals.

As already said, emotion and rivalry will get Denfeld up for this game. Sure, East has played a better schedule. The Denfeld players can't control the schedule that they play...but they do beat the teams they face.

That being said...I'm still taking East...4-2 with empty netter.

So, Denfeld didn't want to beat East 1998-2003 when East dropped a Goose Egg on them 5 seasons in a row?

98-99 2-0
99-00 9-0
00-01 10-0
01-02 6-0
02-03 11-0
03-04 4-3 (Do you believe in miracles? No)
04-05 3-1 (what two close games in a row? must be closing the gap!)
05-06 5-1 (back to reality)

i mean kudos and huzzahs for keeping it respectable those 2 years, but any self-respecting Denfeld fan is positively deluding themselves thinking they have a chance. Please, don't compare scores, it amounts to a big steaming pile of ____. Forest Lake must be better than CEC and Rapids cuz they beat Brainerd 6-1 then? Go on, throw it against the wall. If it sticks, it must be done!!!

Finally a game where the other team will have fans so they can yell back and forth kinda boring with no fans to yell at. Can't wait for this one East is to good. Denfeld is playing good but winning with easy teams. Randolph is really making them work for a wins. East will come out flying like the last three.

HOUNDS-5
