Does anybody know why Loos didn't play tonight? I don't think he was on the ice at all.

The Rams are really going to come to play. It still wont be enough to beat Moorhead, but it will be closer than people expect. I will take Moorhead 6, Roseau 3.

Roseau head coach Oliver said he wanted another shot at Moorhead on neutral ice with neutral refs....... not sure what that will change....... he had them at home with his own refs and still took a nasty spanking.

With Oliver shooting off his mouth this could be a good old fashioned whuppin'

SectionFan

In most cases, everything is a little more tentative with a Section title on the line. That said, I still believe that Moorhead is way to talented. 6-3 sounds pretty close to me. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/pimp.gif ALT=":hat">

Too bad they can't play this one at the Little Ralph with Warroad and LOW. personally i think moorhead is the most overrated team ive ever seen. were talkin about a team that lost to a poor at best hill murray team. the rams are gonna dominate this game and win AA!
8-1 RAMS! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/pimp.gif ALT=":hat">

What a Shame

Post by oletimer » Sun Feb 20, 2005 5:30 pm

Roseau to ST Cloud approx 275 mi. Moorhead to St. Cloud approx. 175 mi. and the game will be played on a Thursday nite denying hordes of fans from both communities a chance to see the game. There has to be a better way. Unlike private business the Section 8 committee is not held accountable and therefore are not problem solvers. A shame. I can go along with the 6-3 prediction though. Roseau will be much saltier this time around.

I think this one will be a little closer than most will expect. Moorhead will win in a close game.
4-3 Spuds in OT

I just don't think Roseau has the horses to compete with Moorhead. They have been spanked twice by them already, although I know anything can happen. Moorhead will come ready to play. I say Moorhead 7-1.

And yeah, I was mad when I heard they moved the game to a Thursday night instead of Saturday afternoon. What a way to make it hard on the fans.

HOW DOES OLIVER GET A HEAD COACHING JOB? EVEN AT CROOK 'U' I ALWAYS WONDERED, I WOULDN'T LET THAT GUY SHARPEN MY SKATES, BUT AS FAR AS HIM WANTING ANOTHER SHOT AT MHD, MORE POWERE TO HIM, WISH I COULD GO TO THAT ONE. IF ANYONE SAW MHD vs. ALEX THEY SHOULD BE CONCERNED ABOUT THE FINAL. IF MHD PLAYS THE SAME IT WILL BE A 1-2 GOAL GAME. THEY FOUGHT THE PUCK THE WHOLE ALEX GAME FROM THE NET TO THE FORWARDS.

I would agree the alex game wasn't great for confidence for spuds fan. What the game amounts to is that Moorhead comes in thinking no chance this team can beat us, same as they have done all year. Then you get an alex team who really comes out to play. And you get a close game, well closer than it should have been. What Thursdays game will amount to is will Moorhead come to play, because I guarentee Roseau is. My perdiction 6-0 Moorhead, they will be at the top of their game because they know what is on the line. I only pick roseau not scoring because in the last 3 section championships I believe Moorhead hasn't allowed a team to score more than one if even that.

Don't talk crap about Oliver...he will threaten to kick your ass, and I have a good feeling he would actually do it too.

But as for Roseau winning. I can see it if Moorhead plays like they did against Alex. But Roseau is going to have to pick it up, they same to be slacking a little bit ever since there tight game with Warroad.

#1 vs unranked

Post by rustyblade » Mon Feb 21, 2005 10:32 am

Roseau not only has to knock off the #1 seed in the section, but arguably the #1 team in the state. For an unranked team to pull off the upset, would be remarkable to say the least. If both teams play to their potential, then the Spuds win! If the Spuds leave anything at home the Rams have a chance, providing the Rams come up with a great effort.

Myself, I am going to enjoy the game and pull for the Rams, but I will be a Spud fan at state should they be there.

Good luck to both teams.

what are you saying.... he's crazy? that just reinforces my wondering. It will be a close game, probably not a good game, but a close one.

Section Championship

Post by Fives » Mon Feb 21, 2005 10:59 am

Moorhead had a wake up call against Alex. They still won 5-1 but didn't show up to play. I believe this will help them against Roseau. Moorhead knows they will have to show up. The big ice surface favors Moorhead and the fact they have won the section the last 4 years gives them confidence.
The Thursday game will hurt the fan turnout but should be a fun game to watch.

Look for Moorhead to come out strong and take Roseau out of it early. My prediction is 5-0 Moorhead but could be worse if they get up early on Roseau.

Roseau is pretty fired up after their emotional game this past saturday against tech. Expect them to come and play hard. I know a lot of the seniors REALLY do not want this year to end earlier than it has too.

It sounds as though Moorhead played pretty sloppy against Alexandria. I expect they too will show up to play and make up for lost points.

Roseau is obviously going to be outshot and outplayed by Moorhead. This game is going to come down to Roseau's top three lines putting out their best effort, and Bjerk playing one hell of a game. If this doesn't happen then Moorhead will have the blowout win.

I didn't say he was crazy....just had to clear that up. I know Oliver spends his time reading on this message board and I dont need him more angry than he is already. I am already on my way to the top of a flag pole. I hope I am able to meet a Roseau 8AA championship banner up there.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p074.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... dmister at: 2/21/05 11:56 am
