NSP has a chance if they can get their powerplay working, because let's face it, White Bear will take some stupid penalties. 5 on 5, i just don't think they match up, and they will not have the goaltending advantage like they did over hill.
Still, i say WBL 4-2.

I think the biggest issue here is whether or not WBL can stay out of the penalty box or not.

White Bear is just too strong for the Polars, and will win 6-3.

Fighting saint,

How did NSP have the edge on goaltending? Both were freshman, so it was pretty even in my opinion. Not including that game, you'd have to give the edge to Little Phillippi after the win against Moorhead.

WBL vs. NSP

Post by Hockeyfanatic23 » Tue Feb 22, 2005 4:10 pm

Personally I would like to see NSP win. Who wants White Bear Lake to go to the state tourny........They'll just lose in the first round anyways.

i want wbl to go to state, the whole community wants wbl to go state. A lot of other people want them to go to state. Yes i know wbl is cursed in the first round but if they make state they would play 7AA (cec/de). WBL beat cec earlier and lost to de 2-3. But wbl can beat both of them. This will be the year the curse ends if they make their.

Your team would represent 3AA very well 06, very well indeed.

Here's what I see.

Since Hill broke their streak of reaching the semifinals every year, I say WBL will break the curse of their own and make it to the Championship round of the State Tournament and finish 3rd. You heard it here first!

ill go with that, if they win the first round they would play moorhead. great game either team could win, but 3rd would be nice for wbl considering they have never won a first round game.

IF your team indeed does win 3AA WBLBears, dont say you'll settle for 3rd. You guys can already make a case for being considered #1. If the Bears get through 3AA I hope they set their goal as nothing less than a state championship. That goes for whoever comes out of 3AA.

As for the game I think WBL got their sub-par game out of their system in the quarters, and NSP got their best game out of their system. I think WBL will come out flying and chop the legs out from under NSP in the first period scoring 3-4 goals, then put the clamp on the rest of the game. I'll say 5-0 Bears.

im only saying this 3rd place stuff because i dont wanna jynx anything because centennial is in 3AA too and their damn good. Yes i do think that if wbl wins 3AA they have a great shot at winning state.

The Bears have to score early in this game to take away the confidence gained by NSP in their victory over Hill. After the Bears get up by 3 or 4 goals, then put the defensive clamp down on NSP. After all that what the Bears are best at is keeping the opposition off the score board.

well put buckwheat, the only way nsp has a chance is if they score first. If wbl scores first it be good because wbl will burry them.

Well my guess is Horner will start again for the Polars. Along with his team, he helped in the great upset win against the Pioneers. But being a freshman, I just don't feel that he will have what it takes to get out of section 3AA, one of the toughest sections in the state tournamet.

WBL is a very defensive minded team. Having Faust hot in the nets would just make it worse for opponents. If the entire WBL team is on tonight, then expect a 5-1 game. If they aren't on and are slowed by the "trap" that NSP plays, then expect a nail biting game all the way down to the end.

hillfan, what's ur predicition on the game,?

although NSP is capable of beating anyone, cumin off a big win should give the polars great confidence

im guessing 5-2 WBL.

Again, if WBL is on 5-1. If they aren't, then I will say 3-2 WBL win. I just don't see North winning this one.

Oh, and if anyone could give updates whenever there is a score change, that would be greatly appreciated! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D">
