Little Falls Flyers vs. Wadena Wolverines: It's a done deal!

Hey guys ... just letting you know that I've been hired to tape the Section 4A championship in Alexandria on Tuesday night. Little Falls took the initiative and if Wadena wants a professionally produced tape with play-by-play and stats and the whole works for the archives, have a captain's parent contact me at this address:

videoscout@hotmail.com

(no ... if you click on the above link it will bring you nowhere)

I will answer any questions you may have.

<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/pimp.gif ALT=":hat"> - How about it Wolverines?

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p074.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... eoscout at: 2/21/05 4:25 pm

Man, converting video to DVD. Absolutely the way to go. Still haven't decided which DVD recorder I'm going to buy yet. I've got a ton of archived stuff on VHS that I need to get onto a more stable media. A couple of Panasonic models look very nice but are still over a grand in price.

V-scout, did Elliott get over to see you last night at the East-Flake game? We were sitting on the East side looking over trying to figure out if one of the guys with the video camera was you. He wasn't sure and was thinking of heading across to check it out. I sort of got caught up/carried away in the game myself <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">

Lee

____________
Message Board arsonist since 2005

scoutmaster
when you were playing puck, i was down in puketown doing a little scoutin myself. if you can't raise the pilot of the fliers, try the head of the den in wadsville. 4a thread might turn on the camera for you too.
scouting report, flyers need to get off the runway before wolvereens dig it up. fungus puckstopper 18 of 23. wadsville 39 of 43. red light in first 43 saved the game.

4A Final

Both these teams have been playing pretty good lately. I do little the chances for Little Falls tho. They just have a little bit more offense, but Wadena has been here before and maybe experience will pay off, who knows. I am going with LF however, 6-2.

There's a reason I haven't gone to DVD quite yet and it has to do with the ease of pirating my product. The way contracts will be written up in the future will take care of it, and that is another story.

Right now, copying the copies that are out there produces poor quality second generation tapes, and if people are too tight to purchase a good quality copy, and are willing to go through the hassle of copying a copy, etc., etc., then have at it.

I can't control that.

Once I go DVD ... the quality will be crystal clear, copies and all. Right now my system is set up in a way for protection somewhat. Once I get what I need to make the game profitable ... then I don't care. Heck... it's kinda like free advertising when people go through the trouble then.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

Anyways ... east hockey .... I only taped the Grand Rapids/Cloquet game, packed up equipment immediately following the game ... went over to Grandma's (Park Inn) for a couple of cocktails and appeteasers and came back to Memorial for the East/Flake match-up.

I sat in the press box with Bluesbuddy. They wouldn't let Bluesy's puppy poopy or poopy's kitten Godzilla in though.

They almost didn't let Bluesy in.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/roll.gif ALT=":rollin">

Was hoping you would swing by. Wadena isn't nearly as good of a team as they were last year are they? Then didn't they go 2 and out last year? If this years squad made it to state they would get smoked.

could be on the money. lfalls first 5 pretty good, fall off the roof by the time last 5 hits the ice. wads. target kept them in the game against f.falls but have good d and balanced lines. wadville banged with f.falls, could bang l.falls top 5 and force showdown between who has better depth. if l.falls carries over same intensity displayed with p.center, wadville will defend its title. better team on paper: flyers, better team on ice: game will decide.

Should be a classic. I have skated with a couple of those Falls players (and their goalie) when they come up to Breezy Point for 'drop in hockey' during the off-season and they are pretty decent.

Wadena, on the other hand should put up a great fight especially since they got a taste of state last year.

Problem is, if I get hired .... who am I going to use for play-by-play?

Little Falls? Shelstad and company? We are playing in the Lakes Area Hockey League Championship over at the Hallett Center against Nate Anderson, Steve Jensen and the boys.

It should be a doozy, but I'm hoping we'll be hoisting the Hallett Cup ... and drinking out of it at the 'Bridge' afterwards<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/roll.gif ALT=":rollin">

<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/pimp.gif ALT=":hat"> Crown Royal 'an all!

I had a Minnesota Hockey jacket on. But it looks like Black leather sleeves with Black cloth.
Tall, slightly gray (he says with a bit of sarcasm), very distinguished and handsome gentleman (with a large chest that people mistake as a belly).

I stood right behind two guys that were just to the left of the two radio guys during half of the 3rd period of Flake and East.

better be under your best behavior with those two. after all they got the ultimate honor from a willmar fan @ wadena. sounds like you should bring the krankster out of retirement to contain jensen, anderson and the boys. can't help on the c.royal will send francetti as proxy, catch up with the purple bag in rivertown.

Little falls has fallen off lately but maybe they'll get back on in a big game like this. It'll come down to their defense. They have terrible defense but if they can manage to play descent their 4 awesome forwards can win it for them. (Festler, Festler, Lickteig, Jorgensen) Kluver will also have to have one of his great games.

GO LF WISH I COULD BE PLAYIN THERE WITH YOU

Flyers all the way. Is their any real reason to think that they will not pound it to Wadena, besides superstition. Let's get real beating the same team three times is not that hard if you are that much better than them. Were these one goal games, did LF beat Wadena in Wadena. Woops I think so!!! take another look at the section. the obvious and only class of the section lies on hwy 10 which is the flyers and they will be representing for the section at their first state tourney........... go flyers !! you earned it, you deserve it

IMO this game is a great argument for the two class system. I graduated from Little Falls high school many years ago, I'll just say it was in the '80s, and they didn't even have a hockey program at that time. Little Falls was a basketball town when I moved there, I'd be surprised if basketball is more popular than hockey now. If we still had the single class system, I don't know if they'd have one now as they'd be punching bags for the region's hockey powers. I'd guess that the same applies to Wadena's program. If the goal of the two class system is to increase participation and interest in hockey these two towns would a good example of the system working.

I have no idea who the better team is in this game, but I'm partial to the Flyers.

Little Falls is becoming a hockey town. LF will continue to be competitive for the next five plus years. LF is the better team they are 2-0 against Wadena this year with 11 goals for and one goal against thats a large deficit to overcome. Numbers don't lie they won't this time either.

The last time wadsvill played against LF they out shot the Flyers and really took it to em in the first 2 periods.

Ever single Flyer fan knows one bounce here or there and Wadsvill would have been the #1 seed. That's a fact!

If Wadsvill can put three solid periods together they should give the Flyers one hell of a game. Look for #30 to be huge in this one.

So what if LF out scored Wadsvill in their 2 games 11-1. Or if LF is undefeated in the section. Teams need to win in the playoffs for it to mean anything.

Wadena 4 LF 3

I feel confident that LF will have another section 4a runner up banner in their rink after tomarrow.

Man thats hilarious. LFs scores eleven goals on Wadsville's goalie in two games and were suppose to look for #30 to be huge. You must mean a huge amount of goals against. LF obviously has his weaknesses figured out and I seriously doubt that trend will change. Wadena has only scored once on LF and all Kluver has to do is stay the course and either shut out Wadsville or let them have their token 1 goal. I don't know which game you were watching in LF but I didn't see Wadena taking it to anybody, I mean they got their ass handed to them for the second time. A few more bounces LF's way and Wadsville would have been looking at running time. LF's is without a doubt the superior team and have done more than talk about it, they've proved it. Wadena will have to play their best game of the year just to keep from getting blown out. To much speed, to much offense, LF will win this one going away.
