Tickets to Coliseum Friday

Post by EricVikings12 » Wed Feb 23, 2005 1:54 am

A friend and I are planning on atteding the section finals on Friday at the fairgrounds. I have not went before and am wondering what the story is on tickets. Can they be bought in advance? What time should we get there to buy them at the door? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

coliseum tickets

don't worry about it. They can pack them in there, they'd never sell out. But if you want a decent pick of seats, I'd get there either before the first game or early on in the game as the end of the first game is packed with both games' fans there, then after the first game is over, the place usually clears out pretty good.

I am not sure who plays first, but if WBL and Cent end up playing first I would get there well before game time. Last year's Hill/ Cent game they had to have people wait outside for this game to get over if they wanted to go to 4AA. There wasn't one seat open in the house. People were starting to sit in the stairways and stand wherever they could. People were standing all the way around the top. That was for a private vs. public team as well. If WBL and Cent play I'm sure its going to be as full, So you better get there early.

Last Year

Yeah, I was at that Hill/Cent game last year... got there about 15 minutes prior to the puck drop, waited outside for about half hour, then stood 3 or 4 deep at the top of the rink in one of the corners, then muscled my way through a sea of youth players so I could see<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ns/mad.gif ALT=">:"> (I know, what a tough guy right? They weren't watching the game anyway... it's funny, they mess around while the game is on, then watch the zamboni with a lot of intensity!) Great game though! There were plenty of seats for the next game, I paid my dues and got rewarded. Anyway, get there early! You won't regret it.

The Section 4 game is first, at 6:00, the White Bear Lake-Centennial/Roseville game will be at 9:00. The Section 3 championship game has been phenomenal the last two years and I'd expect the same this year. The White Bear section was pretty full last night and either Centennial or Roseville will bring a large crowd too, so I'd expect a capacity crowd for the 9:00 game. Getting there right after the start of the Section 4 game wouldn't be a bad idea as you should avoid the long ticket lines and will have a shot at getting a good seat if some of the Section 4 fans don't stick around for the second game.

Last year's Hill-Centennial final was one of the best I've seen, I even went and bought a tape of the game from the cable station that taped it. It's fun hearing the announcer telling the crowd to stay out of the aisles, I had not been to the Coliseum in the last three years when it had been that crowded.

I as well have a tape of that game. Won't be at the game this year, but if it is anything like it is last year it will be a real treat. The 3AA final last year IMO was better than any of the state tourney games.

I'm also planning on going Friday but I need to clarify the tickets.

Can you purchase tickets to the first game then stick around for the 2nd one? Or do you have to go back out and purchase tickets again?
Also is there assigned seating?

My wife and I have been to most Centennial games this year and don't want to miss it this Friday if they play WBL. Of course it won't matter if they don't beat Roseville tonight.

Tickets are available at the door which is on the side opposite of Como Avenue (north side?). I believe I paid $8 last night to get in, one ticket gets you in for both games and there is no assigned seating which is why you might want to get there for the first game.

I should note that the Coliseum does not have the netting behind the goals to catch the pucks and even though there is a 'moat', an open area, between the hockey rink and the stands, those people sitting in the lower areas behind the goals will need to be alert particularly during warmups.

ok once again ill explain everything and clear it up games are at 6 and 9. You can get into the first game and stick around for the second game. Ticket prices are 7 for adults and 5 students. Their is no general admission, so you can sit where ever you want
