I believe Hill Murray's JV team is undefeated so far this year. Correct me if I'm wrong, however.

You are correct. They won the gold division of the Schwan's Cup and have beaten STA's JV 4 times this year (quirk in their schedule and also played them in the Schwan's Cup). I believe half of their wins have been shut-outs. The future looks great for the program.

Perhaps too bright.

Grand Forks Red River jv is undefeated in the state, beat South handely Plays warroad fri.5th
GFRR lost to AV in a shootout and they have been up and down all year in JV. Doesn't mean alot for them to be undefeated in ND by those standards.

Our Eveleth JV team had a really good year, mainly to do with a new JV coach, Jim Robinson. Robinson has coached in Hibbing previously and was a real asset to the team this year.

The best JV team is equal to a Junior Gold B team.

Wrong! Why would you say this? A JV program is supposed to be a feeder team (developmental wise) to your varsity, as the 16’s also. Are there high school programs not sharing this philosophy? Who?

Not quite young man.....There are some JGA teams that are equivalent or better than the best JV teams (and some Varsity teams) but not any JGB teams.

Forest Lakes Jgold b team has been ranked all year. They couldn't touch our JV.

Brainerd has a very good JV squad, big and physical, and I think it definitely has lot to do with the success those sophomores had in the MAHA state tournament last year as Bantam 'A's. In the season finale, they lost to Sartell, and they tied previously, and I think Sartell only had like 4 or 5 losses as well.

Looks like Hill has top JV team for 2012-13 unless Joey A moves to varsity

Unfortunately, I have some expertise in this area. JGB teams are all over the map. I can tell you with absolute certainty that last years JGA state championship team (Edina) would have never lost to a JV team all year. Elk River decided to field two JGB teams that would have destroyed most JV teams. The players wanted to simply have fun and decided to play at that level. I would agree that FL JGB would struggle with FL JV but FL JV couldn't touch the large association teams such as Wayzata, Edina, Tonka etc. Many of the kids playing JG really don't care if they win or lose until playoff time. The coaches just want them to have a positive experience ending their high school days. There were 6 players on last years Edina JGA team that played varsity the year before. Sometimes HS coaches just want to go young and re-build. It all depends on the year and the agenda that the HS teams have.

Why does BSM JV have a losing record? Is this a sign that Benilde is on the decline?

Seriously? Take a look at their Varsity roster and note how many played JV. A couple at best. They'll fill in the roster the same way they always do - By Invitation Only.

BSM really made some bad calls on who they cut for the JV team. Cut many juniors and some key 10th graders that were clearly better than some of the kids on the team right now. They do have a solid freshmen class, so you can't count them out for years to come.
