edina white beat forest lake, edina white also tied jefferson. all good teams, all could beat each other on any given night but my two for the finals is edina white and jefferson just a guess

Is the Jefferson goalie still knocking the net off about 5+ times a game? Is he also playing JV? I remember him as a bantam being very good. He does not need to resort to knocking the net off to make "saves"

How bout some of the other top teams like Roseville, RAVE, or Blaine?

Roseville has been #1 most of the year and has some high end talent(no "A" team) they have to be the favorite, Blaine has a solid squad up and down the lineup but has a "A" team so missing some their top talent plays A. I have not see RAVE play but the D8 league is no pushover and they look to be peaking at the right time.
LPH has them 1,2 & 4.

Well Roseville and Blaine didnt even make it out of regions.. #choke If you ask me Wayzata Gold is a team that needs to be watched out for. They are playing well at the right time

I think Wayzata Gold is the team to beat at the moment, they didn't have a great year but they certainley stepped it up in the playdowns and are carrying alot of momentum. They might be small but their fast and agressive. Edina White is also looking very good. I think Edina White and Wayzata gold will be in the championship.

plus they are playing at their home rink and i hear they have a great coach. however bloomington is always tough and i think one of the elk river teams could take it home. I think any team is capable of winning it all besides edina green and lakeville.

Roseville and Blaine coming up short is disapointing, Roseville went flat the last month and Blaine ran into the streaking Wayzata Gold team.
Elk River Red winning 4 games is shocking, ER Black has been the better team all year, ER should have really made an A and B team not 2 B teams.
Well if Way Gold stays hot they should get to the championship game as the top half of the State bracket is much easier. The bottom half of the bracket has the tough side, I actually think the ER Black/Apple Valley winner will get through and beat Way Gold for the championship, I'll pick AV over Way Gold in the championship.

whats wrong with edina green? i have watched both edina teams this year and the green team has some much more skilled players but they also have 2 or 3 of those seniors that are pretty brutal but i don't see why they cant do well? they tied Edina white and beat some good teams this year

They are a good team but they have not proved themselves to be able to beat top teams and they snuck into the state tournament. I watched them play bloomington this weekend and they did not look like a team destined for the championship, i could be wrong but it is my opinion that edina white is the better team

they played basically a 0-0 game with jefferson. jefferson's only goal was a lucky one off the back of the goalies skate. that game could have gone either way so you must not think jefferson is destined for the championship either

Jefferson to win championship!

Post by wangatang » Sat Mar 10, 2012 2:28 am

Jefferson is about to stick it to Edina like white on rice... That is if their head coach doesn't eat it!

Why single these teams out? It's playoffs, anything can happen. Just look at the State High School Tournament, every top seeded team lost in the first round.

I heard #11 on jefferson violates the other teams players in the corner? I really hope my team doesnt have to play them.

Plus Lakeville beat Bloomington Jefferson 3-1 during the season. So I think all teams have a fair chance of winning. It's whoever wants it more.
