SSM has 4 Midget teams and 2 Bantam teams -- in addition, they also have a full girls program taboot!

Little Gretzky does play there - on the Midget AA team - link:

Simply put, SSM is a hockey factory!

Their 4 Midget teams consist of "Prep", "AAA", "AA", and U-16 "AAA". The Prep team plays more than a handful of games against Jr A competition from the NAHL as well as plenty of MN hockey (Midget-Elite(pre-season HS league) & HS) and top Prep teams. The AAA team plays against the best AAA Midget teams in the country as well as other Prep teams.

The U-16 team has a tough schedule as well, comparable to the Prep schedule for Midget Minor

Both teams? I heard lil Gretzky plays on one of those teams?
All Shattuck teams are good. And yes, Gretzky plays on the AA team I think, maybe the AAA team.

Amherst 16U has beaten Rochester 16U 3 out of 4 times including the game for First seed in the playdowns. I give them the nod over Rochester.

which state or section does Russell Stover fit into? I know there located in Kansas but for nationals who would they have to beat out?

South Florida is a terrible team. They are very lucky to have a chance at nationals.

Since MN doesn't have AAA teams does that mean Shattuck gets a bye every year?

Yes, they do.
They deserve it.

I don't agree that they deserve it. Why should any team get a bye to go to a national tournament? They are good, but they do have 9 losses this year against other very good Midget Tier 1 teams. They should have to go through the Central playoffs just like other midwest team. Team Illinois, Chicago Chill, Chicago Mission, Chicago Young Americans, and the Russell Stover Stars are all capable of beating Shattuck's Prep team on any given day.

Even though shattuck has all 8 of those teams they can really only sent 5 to nationals. Boys prep, Boys U16, Bantam tier1, Girls prep, and Girls U16. and all of those teams will make it. no doubt about that. the team that ty gretzky is on doesnt go to nationals.

Okay, so they do deserve it, but anyhow...shattuck plays in the Minnkota region, for all of you that dont know. That means, that they have to play other minnesota teams and dakota teams that are registered for the national tournament. usually, noboby resisters, so that means that the shattuck teams get byes. but in case a dakots team does register, shattuck does not get a bye...technically

That seems ridiculous how Shattuck gets a bye to Nationals, I mean where is the place for an upset? Sure Shattuck is good but they don't even get the playoff "jitters" or anyone to compete against to make it to nationals...they gotta do something about that like put them in the next closest central districts or something...

Okay, so if they put the Shattuck teams in the central district, that adds to the amount of teams there... which would actually hurt the national tournament. it wouldnt be fair for shattuck and the central teams... there are just too many good teams in that division already. and if shattuck left the minnkota division, what would happen if a dakota team registers? they get a bye? its not going to be fair for everyone... they just have to do what they can.
