We weren't sure that our daughter would be playing in college, mostly because the places she was looking at didn't have Women's hockey. Long story short, she's excited to keep playing next year in the MIAC, but dad didn't sign her up for anything this summer.

She can play either forward or defense, and she's looking to pick up games and/or practices. If it helps, BSM #7.

PM me if you need another U19 player. The excitement we got when she said she'd still be playing is now tempered by the fact that for this summer, we have no affiliation....

MN Showcase runs a women's college league out of Braemar in the summer. Depending on which MIAC team she is going to, she might be able to find a team to play with in that league. Otherwise, they welcome individual sign-ups.

In the past, it has included 10 games and playoffs.

My other advice... to really set herself apart for the D3, she should spend as much of the summer in the weight room and shooting as possible. The ice time is great of course, but speed/strength are going to be some of the biggest differences she sees as she transitions from the HS game to the D3 level.

Winny runs a Monday and Wednesday college skate program during the summer. It is a two part program. 1st half at Roseville second half at SPA. I believe it is 150 for each half.
Look up oshockey.org then college skate. It is a glorified pick up game of your peers. No refs, but quick shifts are required and expected.

Good luck and have fun!
