Lurking... but if I throw my hat in I wouldn't be able to silently condescend those of you who let emotion defy logic lol. Results of three of our four games are posted as final:
East Grand Forks 1, Thief River Falls 2
Kora Torkelson’s goal with 4:08 remaining lifted the Prowlers to a 2-1 win over the Green Wave at Ralph Engelstad Arena. The home team had a decisive 43-9 shot advantage but had a hard time solving the Green Wave’s goaltender, Mckenzie Whalen, who came up with 41 saves to keep it close. Bemidji-bound Briana Jorde scored the opening goal for Thief River.
25 of 29 picked second-ranked picked Thief River Falls to win and add a point each. Nobody quite got the score right, so no bonus points.
Mounds View 0, Stillwater 4
The Ponies used balanced scoring, getting goals from four different players, to skate past the Mustangs at the St. Croix Recreation Center. Caitlin Carter was perfect in net, stopping all 26 Mounds View shots, to earn the shutout.
A significant upset according to our panel, as only 7 had Stillwater coming out on top. Nobody forecasted the Ponies’ four goal margin, much less the shutout.
Red Wing 4, Orono 2
Maddy Hardyman’s two goals and one assist led the visiting Wingers over the Spartans. The shots on goal were very even at 23-22 Red Wing.
Our group was almost evenly divided on this one, picking Red Wing as the narrow favorite by a margin of 16-13. Four of the 16 (36Guy, mnhockey3535, MNHockeyFan and panpan111) also forecasted the 4-2 score and add the bonus point.
I'll post the first day standings as soon as the Chaska/Chan - EP result is known.

According to Minnesota-Scores.net it was:
Chaska/Chanhassen 2, Eden Prairie 4
I’ll go with that for now, subject to our Leaderboard being revised if this result is not correct (Minnesota-Scores.net is almost always accurate, but I insert the word “almost” for a reason).
24 of 29 had the 5th ranked Eagles winning, and of the 24 FIVE also got the score right: 36Guy, sinbin, spars46, THEBUCKSTOPSHERE and Bardown96.
So here’s our Leaderboard after Day 1 of Week 4:
1. 36Guy – 5 points (two out of four correct scores!)
2. sinbin – 4
mnhockey3535 – 4
Bardown96 – 4
MNHockeyFan – 4
panpan111 – 4
7. Fourteen with 3 points each
21. Six with 2 points each
27. Two with 1 point
29. One with a shutout
P.S. Nobody managed to pick the winners in all four games, mainly due to Stillwater's upset (?) over Mounds View.

Easy now...just messing with you. I look forward to many more pages of dialog from you. Your a machine, over a 1000 posts in less than two years..all with no kids in the race. My life would be boring without you! Tonight's results:
Lakeville South 2, Breck 6
Grace Zumwinkle’s hat trick led No. 3A Breck to a 6-2 win over 9AA Lakeville South. Zumwinkle, who will play for the Gophers next season, also added an assist. Kendall Williamson, Cheyenne Harris and Amanda Navratil figured in on five of Breck's six goals, with two assists each. Shots on goal were almost dead even, at 24-23 Mustangs.
19 of our 29 contestants predicted the Mustangs would prevail, but most thought the score would be closer (average for all 29 was 2.9 to 2.2). MIYY4U was the only one who came close on the score, just missing with a 2-5 projection.
Cretin-Derham Hall 1, Eden Prairie 0
Jordan Hansen’s goal at 2:49 of the opening period was all the Raiders needed to pull the upset over the 5th ranked Eagles at the Eden Prairie Community Center. Hanson was assisted by Mackenzie Molnar and Erin Meyers on the play. Coming up huge in goal for CDH was Megan Meyers, who stopped all 26 Eagles’ shots for the shutout. At the other end Alexa Dobchuk was nearly flawless, surrendering just the one goal on 34 Raiders’ shots.
With just 2 of our 29 sages predicting a Cretin-Derham Hall win, this is probably the biggest upset of the season, at least according to this group …so far. Those two who went against the grain and predicted a Raiders' win were the veteran Hansonbrother, who had it at 3-2, and Mr. Left – the last person to enter this week – who predicted 2-1. So again, no bonus points, but these two obviously gained a point on the rest of the field.
Wayzata 3, Mounds View 2 (OT)
Natalie Heising scored her second goal of the game – with just 18 seconds remaining in overtime – to lift the 4AA Trojans past the 14AA Mustangs at the Schwans Super Rink. Maddie Wolsmann was a major contributor on offense as well, assisting on all three Wayzata goals. Netminder Grace Boswell-Healey also did her part for Wayzata, stopping 36 of 38 Mounds View shots.
Mounds View nearly pulled off the second big upset of our three games tonight, but overwhelming favorite Wayzata was able to come through for 28 of the 29 participating in this week's contest. There were three correct score predictions, by GoalieDefense, wolfman and nu2hockey.
With Thursday’s three games now in the books, here is our Week 4 Leaderboard, with seven “Big Games” yet to be played. It's still very tight, and it should be an exciting finish to see who comes out on top.

Cretin #10AA LOL
They are young, but quick! With the exception of Blake and Edina, they out shot and out played their only other loss...but hot goaltending did them in that night. They may not be #10, but probably pretty close!

Interesting first post? Did you join us hypocrites because you had some value to add or are you going to be the gatekeeper for CDH's feelings?crowing wrote:#5AA Eden Prairie LOLHansonbrother wrote:panpan111 wrote:Tuesday, December 1st

A first post needs to start somewhere, so why not here. Not that I really care about CDH but EP is highly overrated. I thought it was humorous that Panny insulted CDH being number 10 yet they beat #5 EP. You see the humor in this, right?36Guy wrote:Interesting first post? To quote Denny Green "The Raiders were who we thought they were and we let them off the hook".
Hey..I'm glad you're in the game! Always good to get some new perspective. I just did not see anything when CDH was getting whipped by 2 top ten teams and losing WBL. CDH would be ranked really high right now if they could turn in a one game resume. Although it was a nice job going into EP's house and winning though!crowing wrote:A first post needs to start somewhere, so why not here. Not that I really care about CDH but EP is highly overrated. Should I type S-L-O-W-E-R? You totally missed my point. I was making a dig at EP.36Guy wrote:Hey..I'm glad you're in the game! Always good to get some new perspective.
