Two games are being reported as final:
Stillwater 0, Hill-Murray 3
Jac Kaasa scored two goals for the top-ranked Pioneers in a non-conference matchup with 14th ranked Stillwater. Mari Johnson saved all 14 shots the Ponies put on net in recording her 4th shutout of the year.
In our contest everyone picked Hill-Murray to win, but there were no correct scores. All but one had the Pioneers scoring at least four goals; in fact on average our group had them scoring five.
Minnetonka 2, Forest Lake 1
Goals by Emma Bigham and Presley Norby were enough for No. 2AA Minnetonka to get by No. 19AA Forest Lake and avoid their second consecutive upset. Both goalies, Tonka’s Tatyana Delaittre and the Ranger’s Kaylee Remington, were sharp in goal, making 23 and 29 saves respectively to keep it a low scoring affair.
All but one had the Skippers winning, but once again nobody guessed the score. Our contest is also starting out to be a low scoring affair!
Look for another update a little later tonight.

Orono 0, Chaska/Chanhassen 3
Lydia Passolt and Sofia Poinar each had a goal and an assist, and Mollie Wise added two assists for the 10th ranked Storm Hawks. Chaska/Chan’s Bailey Jackson stopped all 20 Orono shots to get her shutout.
Another game with a huge favorite, as all 29 prognosticators saw the Storm Hawks winning. This time we did have ONE getting the score right: Misterright picks up the bonus. He’d be in the lead after three games but unfortunately he was the only one to miss the Minnetonka/Forest Lake game. Ironically in that one he DID have the score at 2-1, only in reverse. So after three games everyone has the same point total: 3!

Grand Forks (ND) 2, East Grand Forks 3 (OT)
Livia Pesch, scored all three goals, including the overtime winner, leading the No. 6A Green Wave over traditional rival Grand Forks. Leah Pesch assisted on all three of Livia's goals. Shots on goal were nearly dead even at 29-28 Grand Forks.
This time we had four getting the score correct: rascalbrock, sinbin, wolfman and…MNHockeyFan. There were 22 others who picked the winner, adding the single point.
Still no report on the Maple Grove/Eden Prairie game…

One game tonight from down Kasson way:
Warroad 3, Dodge County 4 (OT)
Unfortunately, game stats are not yet available.

Our next three games here are on Monday. And Monday's the day three of our four Holiday Tournaments begin. If you haven't already done so, don't forget to enter that contest before Monday's 11AM deadline.

Result from earlier today:
Hudson Raiders 1, New Prague 5
New Prague was led by Jordan Anderson who scored twice and added an assist. The Trojans had a 43-26 shots advantage.
All but one favored New Prague to win, and we had four - MNHockeyFan, clutterbucket, MN_Bowhunter and mnhockey3535 - who guessed the score and add the bonus.
The Leaderboard will be updated once this evening's two games are posted as final.

The two other games played today are shown as final:
New Ulm 1, St. Cloud 2
Allie Cornelius scored both the tying and winning goals to lead St. Cloud past New Ulm in the Sartell-St. Stephen Invitational Tournament.
Only 8 of 29 picked unrated St. Cloud to win this. Of those 8 there was one person - massalsa - who predicted the score.
Fargo North (ND) 0, Sartell/Sauk Rapids 4
Megan Mohr scored two goals 26 seconds apart in the first period which carried tournament host Sartell/Sauk Rapids to a 4-0 win over visiting Fargo North. In net Clare Minnerath made 15 saves to record her shutout.
All but 5 went with the Minnesota team, and there were two who correctly called the score: first-timer "LZ94" and READYtoPLAY.
So, heading into tomorrow's two games, here are our standings:

Result from earlier today:
Fargo North 2, St. Cloud 3
Anna Carlson's goal with 6:27 remaining proved to be the game winner as St. Cloud edged Fargo North at Sartell - Bernick's Arena.
A little over two-thirds of our group (20/29) went with St. Cloud, but what was really surprising is that there were SIX who also called the score: THEBUCKSTOPSHERE, hockeybozo, MIYY4U, MNHockeyFan, nu2hockey and mnhockey3535.

In today's other game it was:
Centennial 4, Buffalo 1
Anneke Linser's two goals and one assist paced the Cougars over the Bison in a Blue Division game at the Schwan Super Rink. Alana Bordeaux also prominently figured in the scoring, with a goal and two assists. Shots on goal were almost dead even, at 31-30, Centennial. Cougars' goaltender Anne Juergens stopped all but one of the Bison's 30 shots.
All but three forecast a Centennial win, and there were four - sinbin, hugo_lucas, clutterbucket and massalsa - who nailed the score.
Here's the updated Leaderboard - with three tied for 1st Place - heading into tomorrow's single game:

In our lone game this evening Lakeville North and Centennial battled to a 5-5 overtime tie.
Lakeville North 5, Centennial 5 (OT)
After Lakeville North took a 3-0 lead in the 1st period, Centennial rallied back to even it up at 4-4 in the 2nd. Each team would score one more in the 3rd but they went scoreless in the overtime, and the game finished in a 5-5 tie. Gabbie Hughes had two goals and an assist for Centennial, and Erin Olson put up the same for Lakeville North. A moral victory of sorts for the unranked Panthers to tie the 13th ranked Cougars. But after outshooting them 32-22, they must have left the arena feeling a little disappointed.
Our panel overwhelmingly favored Centennial to win by a 27-2 margin, with an average predicted score of 4.1 to 1.5. But, nobody predicted a tie, so no points for anyone. See last night's post for the point totals; they haven't budged....
Things are on hold here until Saturday, when Week(s) 7 will conclude with its final two games.

Two games today wrap up our extended "Week(s) 7":
Spring Lake Park/Coon Rapids 1, Blaine 2
Ramsey Parent scored the game winner for the Bengals in a key Northwest Suburban Conference matchup. Her goal gave Parent, who is just a freshman, 14 on the season to go with her 14 assists. Shots on goal in this game were dead even at 26 apiece.
All but 3 of our contestants favored the Bengals to win, with Hansonbrother and hockeybozo also getting the score right.
#19AA Forest Lake 1, #18AA White Bear Lake 1
White Bear's Sarah Moy's goal with just 49 seconds remaining tied the score at 1-1 which, following a scoreless overtime period, is how it ended. Kayla Kasel had given Forest Lake a 1-0 lead with 1:32 left in the 2nd period. Both goalies were tough to beat, with the Rangers' Kaylee Remington making 41 saves and the Bears' Calla Frank 34. Forest Lake is now 6-1-1 in the Suburban East Conference, just behind Cretin-Derham Hall's 7-1-1.
It's a little surprising that nobody predicted a tie, as these two teams are ranked pretty evenly and in fact tied 3-3 the first time they played one another. 19 had the Rangers winning, while 10 went with the Bears, but with the tie: zero points across the board.
So here's the final standings for Week(s) 7. Look for Week 8 to be posted very shortly!
