So what's the early summer pre-season ranking for this section. I haven't got a clue.

Proc-Herm, Hibbing, and maybe Cloquet -- thats it... Marshall too much turmoil and defection to push

Wouldn't Marshall be one of the top teams? What turmoil / defection? Kids leave the program?

so is the Duluth Marshall girls High School hockey experiment finished? no more Duluth Marshall High School girls hockey in 5 years or sooner? a Gracie Thompson transferred there to play hockey from Esko a couple of years ago. maybe she'll be back skating for CEC this winter =)

OH....Hibbing girls high school hockey has exploded for the good! that's awesome for that community! too bad the boys program is just the opposite

I’m not saying they would. It sounds like the girls program is a mess over there.

What's to blog about? The season started a week ago and games haven't been played. If you want to see some 7A action, Cloquet is in Hibbing this weekend for a scrimmagefest. Hibbing and Cloquet don't play each other however.

Hibbing played in GR's scrimmagefest last week, and tied Lakeville North 1-1 and lost to Elk River 3-2.

My mistake. They play each other at 3pm on Saturday.

Hibbing won the scrimmage 4-2. Cloquet was short #5, but Hibbing was short their starting goalie and a top two D.

Well Cloquet sure started their season out with a bang. Knocking off a very good Brainerd/LFall team is quite the start. BLF is very good this year.

It was a really good game! Exciting back and forth action. Dave Esse on the bench with Courtney, his daughter, and the other coach. Her name is also Courtney....
