Grey might be the best u16 team in the country (02 MachineOS part II). I believe their only loss is to...

Shattuck u19 is a deep, talented, and well oiled machine...3 lines of D, 4 lines of F. Relentless and pretty darn talented from what I have seen. It definitely helps to have systems in place but they have some high quality players for sure.

A combo platter of Elite Black & White (not a full team but barely enough horses) tied SSM saturday night. Heard thru the grapevine that there may have been 10 or so US/CA U18 national team players in that game.

Homecoming for at least half the metro left Elite teams decimated saturday night #s for teams.

3 weekends left.

Anyone seen any boys Elite League games? If you happen to be in New Hope over a weekend check out a game or two. Wow they are fast and skilled. Fun to watch if you are a fan of the game. Less hitting than a standard boys HS game but much faster and more skilled play.

It would be nice/interesting to have some stats for the girls like they have on the boys side...

I'm probably in the minority here, but I am a big proponent of the fact that individual stats are not tabulated for the Girls Elite League.

The players are aware of the stats, sure, but they're the only ones who need to know that information.

I am much less interested in "leaders" or cumulative data but would be interested in seeing who scored goals and had points in specific games. Also would like to know the # of shots and saves in games too on the goalie side. It is also fun to be able to congratulate kids on goals and actually see who played in games to see why a team won/lost/tied and also how many kids were actually there playing.

A 7-1 loss against SSM is not a horrible outcome if there were only 8 or 9 skaters vs a full bench. It is not a good loss when one has 2 lines of D and 3 lines of F.

I know not all of that info is easy to get or have or even be somewhat sure of accuracy...just would be nice to have a little more info.

I didn't mean to start a debate just curious if anybody has stood out. Looking at the rosters it looks like the White and black teams are fairly equal. The grey team is the sky team from last year. Surprised to see grey playing u-16. Shattuck U-19 has dominated has it really been as lopsided as the scores have shown?

Recently I learned that for Shattuck, Madison Capitals, Team WI, CYA, and a few other teams, the Girls Fall Elite League games count as regular season games. Stats to their players are important. In fact, all games require score sheets be signed off on by coaches and officials with signatures after each game.
Knowing this, it’s naive to think that MN highschool aged students (boys and girls) don’t pay attention to points, (and shots/save % for goalies). It’s also naive to think that Girls don’t notice the coverage the Boys Elite League gets. Just compare the two websites. The boys are treated like pros.
It’s time the MN Girls Higschool Elite League begins accounting for stats just like the Boys Highschool League does. The technology is there.
As women locally begin to promote a professional womens product to young, aspiring hockey players, they will quickly realize that young fans follow those players that lead their teams statistically. Kids want to emulate the best.

The games vs SSM, MC, WI, CYA and others all count for both team. Scoresheets are required as proof to who is playing on each roster. All is needed to show each team (in the league and outside the league) is meeting the requirements for eligibility to the Tier 1 US Nationals. Each team is required to play X-amount of games as a team. This is two fold - each player needs to play a minimum amount of games on a team to be an eligible rostered player, and the team must play a minimum amount of games with their listed roster. This prevents sandbagging. What the minimum amount of games seems to change from year to year, and can be looked up in the USAH rules.

I agree, if the technology is there to post and track stats, why not post? However, I think the parents and coaches might care more about stats then the players do. Not saying this applies to all players, but I’d bet the majority don’t care as much as mom or dad do. I know my kid doesn’t - she just hopes to play the best she can play and can contribute to team success.

What's so interesting about it? Don't the teams play each other 4-5 times?

What was the score of the game? Lots of big-time players in that tilt.

Top of what standings? How do you have actual standings if the Teams are mix matching players all the time? The only team that has any consistency in showing up for their games is Grey as they are younger and have less outside obligations to attend to and if a player did miss a game or two they would be banished into oblivion

How come Elite white did not Play Shattuck last Tuesday if they finished ahead of black?

The points listed above are from the NIT tournament, not from the regular season.

Maybe Black is better because they had better games vs Shatttuck? Looking at scores White did not fare well in the Shattuck games

I was told the decision to play black instead of white was mainly due to goaltending. The Elite league, Minnesota Hockey, and Shattuck all agreed that black goaltending was a lot stronger.

Looking up the standings I see black played Shattuck one less time than white did. White also beat black head to head kind of a head scratch-er that black played Shattuck. When white was the better team overall.

Elite league is all about who shows up for that particular game. The final game was vs Shattuck which you would want the team best equipped to play them. Looks like Black played them better in their games so that was the choice. One game head to head does not factor in the decision. I am also told that white played Shattuck to 4-4 tie by borrowing a couple players from Black who accounted for 3/4 of the goals. So in other words white got smoked every game they played Shattuck so why have them play them again at the end? #-o
