Sections Contest!

Post by SEhockeyDAD »

Make your predictions. Which teams win each section, both single and double A, as well as each 2nd place team. Best score is 24.

Lets wait until sections seeds, I guess. In the mean time, study up!

When will they seed?

Post by old kentucky shark »

Does anyone know when the brackets for the various sections will be announced? Does MSHSL site usually have them, or is there someone quicker?

I think he wants to know when the actual teams are known. Wll the info be anywhere before the MSHSL gets around to updating their site.

Probably not, I always go to MSHSL for brackets.

My Picks

Now, I am not overly familiar with many of the Metro teams, but based on my precise calculations, and my SWAG factor (scientific wild-ass guess), this is my shot in the dark!

Class A:
Section:
1: New Prague / Austin
2: Alex Lady Cards / Tot-Gr
3: Warroad / Hibbing
4: Blake / SSP

Class AA:
Section:
1: Mayo / Lakeville N
2: Roseville / Sibley
3: NSP / Stillwater
4: Coon Rapids / Anoka
5: CDH / Eagan
6: EP / BSM
7: Cloquet / GRG
8: Bemidji / ER

(Edited to include #2's)
So, where is everybody else?

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... d@mnhs>Big Red at: 2/6/06 9:54 am

Krach has Stillwater above NSP, does that change your mind?

NSP was my intent.

I guess I was in a little bit of a hurry and didn't double check.
So I am a wee bit off straight alignment with Krach.

I was feeling a little bit guilty for not being more original.
But thanks for the heads up.

Go with scores in finals. Closest to actual wins in tie (have to have right teams in final too).

ok, that could still warrant a tie, however. example...each person gets all right (24 pts). Then they split the closest guesses 12-12...then its still tied.

Have 'em pick one upset in the earlier rounds of each section?

pick one upset in the first round of each section. if the section has 16 teams, like in A, or if there is only 7 teams, pick from the first round. Play in games do not count.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... >boblee at: 2/7/06 12:38 pm

Sounds good to me! - although I suppose they'll just go through each section and pick 5 to beat 4? etc.???

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... ckeyfan at: 2/7/06 12:42 pm

Do like they do in football pools, assign a weight to each of the 12 games, 1-12. So if you think NP is a lock, you give it a 12. If you think SW vs NSP could go either way, give it 1, etc.
