Farmington 9, Simley 3

Farmington is a very strong club, and they showed that Simley has a lot to work on. Was a good wake-up call early in a week full of solid opponents for Simley.

I was most impressed by Flor (who should be playing D1 next year somewhere by my assessment) and E. Johnson is a strong player too - as is the Ripley girl. McNamara made some nice saves as well.

<a href="http://www.esportsdesk.com/leagues/hock ...

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... ckeyfan at: 12/7/05 2:00 am

Also noticed on SportsHuddle that Roseville pounded Mounds View pretty hard tonight...8-9 goal margin I believe.

Edit: Make that a 10 goal margin for Roseville, 11-1 over MV.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... ookyone at: 12/6/05 11:20 pm

How many teams in the state have been as good as long as Farmington... Not too many in my eyes. Always a team that can fill the net!

I saw Farmington last year too - 3-1L, but this years team is a solid one to say the least. I see that they've put up 9+ against everyone but when SSP shut them down and hung a 9 on the board against Farmington.

I think Flor has improved a LOT over a year ago - she was absolutely dominant, and believe me, this says something against a team that plays D first! Flors foot speed has increased greatly, and that may have been the one weakness in a player that has great hands, shot, vision, etc. I now believe she's the complete package player, and I would think she has to be at least worth a look by some D1 coaches...

CDH 6 Anoka 5 OT. Lots of PP goals. LeBlanc & Buganski looked impressive. They seemed to have good scoring chances almost every shift. CDH hung in there despite playing without their leading scorer, Keys; out with a shoulder injury. Interesting penalty called on Anoka. Anoka coach calls TO. Referee drops puck after signaling TO. Anoka's center does not see the TO signal and takes the face-off and goes in and tries to score. Anoka player is given a 10 minute misconduct.

Bursville 6 New Prague 4
New Prague got it to 5-4 with 4 minutes left but Burnsville scored 30 seconds later. New Prague did spot Burnsville at 3-0 (2 PP goals and one 4-4 goal) lead but fought back to make a game out of it. Shots were basically even New Prague 28 Burnsville 27.

Waroad 4, Simley 1 EN

70 Penalty minutes in the game, 48 for Simley. Some were misconducts at the end.

I think the totals were 11 for 22 Warroad (2 OF 10 Conversion) and 14 for 28 Simley (1 of 4 Conversion) w/out misconducts. At the end of the game 5 Simley players and 3 Warroad players in the box.

Game was called with 4 seconds left due to fear of further incident.

I've never seen a girls game called like that before.

2 PP goals (1 EN) for Warroad, Simley's goal was PP.

Shots were 30 to 18 - warroad advantage.

#6 Roberts is AMAZING for Warroad!!! They also have a few other great players as well.

<a href="http://www.esportsdesk.com/leagues/hock ...

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... ckeyfan at: 12/10/05 12:44 am
