Versus Cloquet i see a one goal differential. hopefully in the lightnings favor
3-2
Well lets see if i can go 2 for 2 tomorrow night.
But i'll take a lightning win regardless of the score

GRG is going strong, but I'm picking Cloquet in a close game with them.
Cloquet 2 - GRG 1. Maybe even an overtime win for the Lumberjacks?

Way to go Lightning...Outstanding job in the net by Havel! If I heard right, Emily Erickson had another 4 goal game! Great job girls!

So what's up with CEC? I know they have had a strong schedule but losing 4 of the last 5 isn't like them.

Normally you would say that playing a tough schedule especially before sections will be good preparation and will only make you better. But it would appear in this case that Cloquet may have overdid it - could it be that they have suffered a loss of confidence playing too many tough teams in too short a time? They are obviously having a huge problem scoring goals of late.

Nice run of games by GRG. Team is working hard on the forcheck and number 10 has the golden touch lately.
Nice job girls.

Nice win, what does this do for seeding? Will the lightning become over confident, will they need more balanced scoring to advance in section play

Lightning crash down on 'Jacks.
The Lady Jacks scored first on a fabulous tip play early in the first. That was all the life that GRG would give them. Emily Erickson would score four time and Dana Gallop would score once in a 5-1 Lightning route. The Lightning outshot the Jacks 22-17 and controlled flow the entire night. Erickson scored on a couple great individual efforts and once on beautiful feeds from each linemate. Havel was stellar in nets. Huge win for the Lightning. They have the most legitimate arguement for a one seed. Just like last year, Pat Rendle has the team rolling at the right time.
Erickson-4 goals
Gallop-goal, 2 assists
Guyer-2 assists

It wasn't just her. The Lightning took advantage of Paige's weekness which is cutting down angles. They moved the puck side to side well and took 22 smart shots. 5 went in.

You know about Hibbing, but don't take either Breck or Hopkins lightly! Breck has excellent balance throughout their lineup and good goaltending. Watch No. 34 Milica McMillen - she's just a 7th grader who is already a force and has an excellent chance to someday be one of the very best out there.
Hopkins might not have the overall team depth Breck does, but watch out for No. 4 Becky Kortum, No. 7 Jenna Peterson and No. 22 Cara Johnson - these three are all excellent.

This thread is interesting. The team is playing poorly and everyone has something to say. Now they are playing well and only good ole boblee has anything to say...
